JANE EYRE

Must read book, cannot ommit this wonderful classic novel full of human feelings and emotions and the presence of an omnipotent power which we call God.

Bronte sisters’ books are well-known so I don’t need to say anything about it. This volume costed me about ₹180, and I received it just in a single day.

I'm a fan of purchasing books from here and I got Jane Eyre in a very good price. The front and back cover are totally good, but the problem was with the side binding that's why I have four stars. Over all the pages are magnificent and some people will find the letters a tad bit small but for me they're amazing💞 p.s. the side binding thing happened due to the delivery made harshly. I request Amazon to give their deliveries a nice push.

There are rare classics which carries your interest throughout and this did it wisely, Perfect blend of mystery and romance with gothic elements, At the end of the book you can't help but to fall in love with "Jane Eyre".

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is certainly one of the very best of classics. Published in 1847, it is widely acclaimed as the best romance ever written. A golden addition to the already grand prose, are the intertwining small sequences of humor and comedy. Particularly enjoying is the episode of Mr. Rochester disguising himself as a gypsy to find the true nature of Miss Blanc Ingram. Thus in all of its beauty and majesty, Jane Eyre promises to be a wonderful read.Now, of the singular edition that I was bestowed with, the penguin English library Jane Eyre. Penguin English library is one the best book collection available in the market. It presents itself with 110 of world's most famous and important classics in a well suited format. This edition's Jane Eyre comes with some extra materials such as an intro and an essay at the end of the text. These additions show us some of the deep thoughts that were put into the text.At last,A Masterpiece and A MUST READ.Recommended to anyone interested in a gothic romance.

I am one of those adults who love or at least realize the importance of classics, credit goes to the eccentric and a highly elite school curricular. My first ever book review is dedicated to one such classic which will never go out of fashion and is a clear proof of excellence. “JANE EYRE”It is a story about an orphan, who lost her parents at the age when she was too little to remember them. Her paternal uncle took her to his house, and dies not to long after this. Before, he takes his last breathe, he makes his wife promise that she will take care of his niece as her own child. Unfortunately, for Jane her aunt doesn’t keep her promise, and did everything she could to make her life miserable. She considered Jane as a burden and disliked her for being below par. Her children were no less, under their mother’s assuagement, they mistreated and making her clear that she will never be the part of their family.At the age of ten, Jane was sent to a school where her life was no better. A charity school run under the savage director Mr. Brocklehurst. He considered, punishing the students physically a chance to cure and save their souls. Jane remains at the school for eight years, six as a student and later as a teacher. After that she decides to look for a new service, for which she gives an advertisement in the news papers offering her services as a teacher.She eventually get a job (at Thornfield) to be a governess of an only child, who soon becomes very fond of her. Jane gets to know Mr. Rochester, the owner of the Thornfield and with time falls in love with him. In this time she realizes that social status and age difference are not the obstacles to get married. On the day of their wedding a terrible and an unexpected secret comes out, which tears her apart.It is a book, you don’t want to keep down. My heart went out to the main character Jane Eyre, her emotions are so beautifully penned that you can feel it in your own heart. Charlette Bronte had truly created a master piece, which a lot of today’s writer fails to do.Every character in the book is detailed, and you can relate to them. From the struggles of an Orpan child to the love of story of an adult is one of the bests I have ever read. So, it is to everyone who’s looking for something worthy and powerful with a great story line to read “THIS IS THE BOOK”.I highly recommend this book to the CLASSIC BOOK lovers.

Amazing

Wouldn't dwell on the book as it's universally accepted as one of the greatest books of all time. Coming to the quality of book, i didn't like how it was delivered to me. A little bit tampered on the edges and also no bookmark. Like all the people in the review section got it but I didn't. Quite disappointed for that. Hence, giving 4 stars 1 star less because of the negligence.

5+ stars & 9/10 hearts. I LOVED this book. Wow. I did not expect to love it so much! I read it several times as a kid and was profoundly impacted by the setting and storyline. Rereading it as an adult, I was impacted by the themes, messages, and characters.Jane Eyre is often seen as a dark book. I, instead, found it very beautiful and hopeful. I loved Jane. She was so wise and strong and loving. Really, she became one of my favourite female characters ever. Her story is so sad and yet it is hopeful too. I would love to be a Jane—so willing to help, so eager to love, so strong in trial, so full of faith. The way she combats suicide and depression, grief and pain, pressure and cruelty to live the life she knows God wants for her, is wonderfully inspiring.Mr. Rochester was another character I loved. I related to his weakness and his desire to do good but his lack of willingness to try to be good. After all, he had a good heart. He could have done any number of things to the woman he was chained with and yet he did do her the best he could—as he thought. I loved seeing his redemption arc so much. And as a man, he was just a very entertaining, fascinating, interesting person….St. John I strongly disliked. What a hypocritical, supercilious Pharisee. He was a “good” man and yet he was not a good man. He was certain that he and he alone was right. He even tried to play God with Jane. If she had obeyed him, she would have killed herself (no use at all to the Lord) and have run right by her true calling. And he was cruel and harsh to her—while pretending to be as merciful and long-suffering as Christ Jesus. I couldn’t stand St. John. Yet his sisters were lovely!The plot was fascinating. Twisty and unexpected all the way to the end, and so varied—from the luxurious but abusive Reed home to Lowood, first cold and cruel, then warm and nurturing; from Thornfield Hall, so dark and gloomy, haunted by a sinister secret, yet blossoming with love and happiness; to the moors, stern and beautiful, and the little village, simple and hearty… and then, the ending place—damp, lonely, and full of human joy. The messages are wonderful—so many reminders about the seriousness of marriage; about not putting up idols in your heart instead of God; about being yourself but in a holy, temperate way; about true charity, about the foolishness of ranks and caste; about the meaning of true love… While there is sadness and ugliness presented in this book, and Brontë does not shy away from portraying sin (see content list below), everything was well handled and was only used to make redemption and Light stand out. The writing style is simply brilliant and the humour excellent; the other characters are all so alive and varied and interesting; the setting is fascinating and so well detailed… it’s a simply beautiful book with a really beautiful message.Content: drinking; smoking; kissing, touching, hugging, between Jane & Mr. R. before engagement; Mr. R. had many mistresses & an illegitimate child; he tries to get Jane to live with him without being married; attempted bigamy; some language; some theology I don’t necessarily agree with.
