Easy to install
Easy to install. It took less than a minute. I have a 2023 Highlander. My button is left of the steering wheel on the dashboard. The tool they include, pops off the trim panel and then you plug it in. Works good.

It disables the AWD system on 2022 Highlander XLE V6.
Easy install,works as described. Go to Youtube channel 4D Tech for video Toyota Highlander Disable Auto Start/Stop Feature- Turn On and OFf permanently! (2020-2022) video for easy install instructions. Edit. One week after installing, we had a heavy snowstorm. Highlanders AWD wouldn’t work only one front tire would get power. I fiddled around with traction control and all the off road settings, with negative results. Only one tire would get power AWD didn’t send power to the other wheels. I removed the Start stop disable and the AWD system immediately worked perfectly and I was able to move the car out of the snow/ice parking spot.

Flawless in 2022 Highlander XLE
This product is working flawlessly in my 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE, canceling the start/stop automatically when I start the vehicle. It is well made and true plug-and-play. An installation video for this year and model vehicle exists on utube. I found it easier to pry the console up from the firewall end after the step of unsnapping the chrome trim on the sides.

Faulty auto start stop eliminator can disable your engine from starting at all.
This item worked just ok for about 4 months. It didn’t always shut off the start stop feature on my 2023 Toyota Highlander XSE. Only worked about 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time I had to manually engage it myself. Until yesterday when my car would not start at all. I thought my battery or starter was going bad at this point. Then I decided to pull this gadget out and eliminate it from my vehicle and my car started back up with no issues going forward. So like someone else said in their review. (You get what you pay for) I will not recommend this product to anyone.

My horrible little nightmare with Start and Stop feature in my 2023 Toyota Highlander.....
This feature on my 2023 Toyota Highlander made me crazy. This little jewel fixed it so I never have to deal with it again. Thank goodness a friend mentioned there was such a thing. I'm happy now with my highlander. This is my 3rd Highlander. I never would have imagined this was in my new one. :( It was so simple to install. I'm a female and had zero issues with installation.
