The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (Single Disc) [Blu-ray]

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
This was a pre-order DVD and so was purchased in 2012 for a fan of the books and series, but we all (pretty much) like the Twilight series here.As the fourth movie in the quintet, this one got a bit of a critical so-so rating at the time of release, but I think - regarded as part of the cycle - it does it`s job in advancing the narrative very well; I don`t think there is any need for analysis given the overall success most people would concede the movie-version saga to be.The DVD release provides a good sharp transfer with subtitles in English and a couple of extras – a director`s commentary and some premiere night footage.A decent film in the series and required viewing as part of the Twilight saga.

Serious let down!
If you like me thought the first installment of the Twilight saga was the best, it captured the emotions, scenes and characters to perfection then this one is a major let down.Very very slow to get going and when it does nothing much happens, nowhere near enough emphasis on why Bella is suffering so much and not enough time was spent on her turning moments. The special effects as expected were great especially the ones when Bella is pregnant but having been a huge fan of the Twilight saga since the first book was released I was left really disappointed with this film, also the vampire characters are not getting better looking but worse looking with every film that is released, seriously look back at all the characters in the first film then look at this one??? What is going on!!! I understand they are aging in reality but come on!I wouldn't recommend this film but if you like me have bought the others then yeah get it, at least your collection won't look out of place with one missing.

Total R&R
I can only say that this series of films just gets better and better for me personally. It is a bit like the Harry Potter films, like, the first one was a bit amateur (I know the actors were young), however, as the films went on they just became so much more as the actors got into their role, adding their own spin on it. Breaking Dawn was fabulous from the opening sequence right through to the end and I didnt want the film to stop. I was watching it with some girlfriends and the story moves pretty much as it was in the book, though not in as much detail as the film would be sooooo long otherwise. I can't wait for the second part to come out later this year and will definately be ordering it. I am not a teenager and still love the film, it is for anyone who wants to get away from reality and just chill out watching Robert Pattinson - a dream! lol

A former sceptics review of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1.
I have been a bit of an iffy viewer of the Twilight series contrary to my wife who dribbles and drools over both R.P. and Jacob along with her daughter and son-in-law. (Never sure about him!!)They had all been to see this film at the cinema and grouchy old me declined choosing, instead to stay at home. However, since then as an alternative to having my wife sectioned, or at least prescribed some sort of calming medication, I purchased the DVD and I sat and watched it in full, and have to admit I enjoyed it and found it very entertaining. I find myself looking forward to Part 2 where I will probably go to the cinema with my wife to watch it first and will follow that up with another DVD purchase so that my wife can continue to feed her obsession.

Breaking Dawn Part 1
I loved this movie; it was a real tear-jerker. It also converted me to liking Jacob Black. In previous movies I'd found the character to be whiny and not really very likeable. In Breaking Dawn Part 1, however, Jacob won my heart. He is warm, heart-breakingly emotional and he really made me feel as though I wanted to root for him. Well done, Taylor Lautner, I was mightily impressed. I have always been and will always be Team Edward but I felt, for the first time, a stirring of sympathy and empathy for the one who was left behind. Jacob's agony at Bella's 'changing' is a real masterpiece of acting skill. Bravo. The movie is just as I'd hoped and I can't wait for the next installment... Meh
I'd just like to point of first off, i've only actaully watched these films as i read and loved the books years ago and saw the first couple films. I have to say the acting has improved slightly, although im still not too taken on their pick of actors.Like all books made into films, the books are always better. Its an alright watch on the weekends when you have noting else to do. I have to say though (and again yes this is the same with all books) I hate how different it is from the actual story line of the book. Overall an ok film, guess its worth a watch if you like them or if like me you've read the books and well your just curious to it

We all know it's rubbish but none of us can resist it!
Bought this when it was reduced to £6 by amazon and it has been very good for the money. Especially when everywhere else is selling it for at least £9. Yes the film isn't very good but for what it is - a chick flick - it's as good as anything else you might buy and is definitely good to curl up to after a long day or for a girly night in.The product arrived three days after it was dispatched and is in perfect working order. Definitely no complaints with amazon and got exactly what I was expecting. Just wish the film makers could have cast some actors that were actually good at their jobs!!

Seller: Great! Actual film: Doesn't leave much to the imagination!
Seller service was great. Sent and received with no problems. It's the film all the fans have been waiting for leading up to the climax of the story! I honestly don't know what other material from the books they are going to use for the final installment though (part 2)! The best part of this film is the wedding! And if you've read the book you'll know what I mean about the heading! I wouldn't let you kids watch it without parents seeing it first to judge it fit - I personally don't think kids should be watching Twilight anyway but that's at your personal discretion.
