Great for Crafting with Kids
I used these to lead a STEM Day activity at my kids' school. The students built and tested a bridge made out of craft sticks and these dowels, which slid through holes I drilled in the craft sticks. These dowels did a great job - they didn't splinter at all and held up over multiple uses (I did 8 sessions).

Not sharpened as pictured.
I purchased this brand specifically because it shows them having one sharpened end. They do not. Luckily they sharpened easily with a standard pencil sharpener. I could have gotten a less expensive brand if I would hang known.

Decent but not the best
I had high hopes for this product. They bend / curve very easily and watch out for the slivers. Wear gloves.So far they've done the trick...time will tell.
