Oneida Air Systems Dust Collector & Cyclone Separator Kit w/Clear Bucket, 2.5 Deluxe 5-Gal - Portable Cyclone Machine for Wet and Dry Shop Vacuums

This is an amazing product for vacuuming dry stuff. It separates cyclonically and collects in the bucket. I just finished cutting sheet material from plywood. 8 sheets of plywood cut to make 30 drawers, on poplar runners and 3/4” carcas. Drawers are 4””-8” and cabinet is 6’x7’. From the cutting to size all of all of the 240 parts going into this project, I collected one 5 gallon bucket of sawdust to the top, and maybe a 5% filled dust bag in the shop vac. This is a huge money saver on dust bags for dry product waste.

WOOOOOW this thin sucks, I mean the vacuum does not lose any sucking power. Grinding concrete the worst finest dust imaginable cloggs filter in 15 min and the filter bags from Rigid explode they are crap. Bought some china made bags that are amazing but they also eventually fail after half bag is full, no suction power. the grinder creates so much dust that the vacuum can't keep up. dust everywhere, it's a mess. With this cyclone machine, no more mess. Yes the sticky tape is a joke to attach the wheels 5 min, and it's gone. But I mounted the wheel brackets with screws as suggested and it's perfect. Don't suck anything without this device.

Small space so this is a perfect set up for my workshop. Has great capacity and compatibility with shop vac. Easy set up.

First - hey, Oneida, if you made a unit for the Bosch Dust Extractor L-Boxx style (ala Festool Dust Extractors Systainer clip-on) I bet they'd sell! Or here's an idea - make one in a box style with then adapters that could clip onto systainer or L-Boxx or...whatever. Otherwise, the set-up of this unit was quick and easy - or, a lot less time consuming that I had thought it would be. Yes, it is a bit of a PITA to have two wheeled devices to pull around. No, I have yet to attach the "leash"-like device/cord to my Bosch Dust Extractor to help the tag-along, but I guess when I comes down to it -- when it is in use, I'm not usually moving around too much. I noticed little to none (noticable) suction loss and the fact that I can now use my Bosch Dust Extractor without its most annoying Auto Filter Clean function is awesome. I chose it since it was one of the quietest extractors out there, but the volume at which the AFC system BANGS three times every 15 seconds (that my condo neighbors can hear and actually thought I was pounding because I had been trapped under something) totally negates my original mission. Anywhoo - this Oneida Dust Deputy 2.5 is the bomb! Cheers!
