I needed 5, so I had to order 8, since you can't purchase them individually. The casters fit the existing inserts, so installation was very easy. Even if I had needed to install new inserts, it wouldn't' have been difficult. These casters look good and really complement the table. They roll easily, and they swivel easily when necessary. I can't address durability at this point, but I installed this style of casters on an old oak desk chair 3 years ago, and they still look and perform great.

**Q: If you have had these for at least a year and moved whatever you have them on often, have they marked your hardwood floor?**
A: No, they haven't marked our hardwood floor. As a note, our hardwood floor has a hardness rating that won't allow a 1000 pound piano to leave marks from its casters by a different manufacturer. These specific casters have only been used to carry no more than 25 lbs. The best advise I can give you is to look up the max weight bearing that your hardwood floor can take based on the type of wood you have.
