Out of the box the continuity setting doesn’t work 99% of the time. it also throws out random readings regardless of mode.

This is a really nice dvm. All the fluke features (and then some), and none of the fluke price. Add some fluke probes to this, and you have an excellent, rugged, exceptional meter that can dance with the best. The little light built into the meter is a nice touch, illuminated display, Really sold. The instructions will get you where you need to go. Add the hard case, available seperately under Kaiweets, and this meter really is quite exceptional. I have never had a problem of any kind with it, it is accurate and reliable. It even has an NFC probe built into the end which works. However, if you do a lot of work with AC, and need NVC, like to work on Furnaces, I recommend getting a clamp style Astro meter to go with this one. Between the two, you can't go wrong. Just remember electrical safety, and you will be fine.

This is a versitile and useful multimeter. You will almost certainly be happy with the purchase. It can measure many different properties and the measurements are precise when compared to a Fluke multimeter that is many times more expensive. I like the included thermal probe and it showed expected values for our oven. It feels sturdy and well designed with a focus on making it useful to the target user. Dangerous voltages are indicated visually and audibly, the display has a user activated backlight and an LED flashlight for working in dark environments. LED glow rings indicate where the probes need to be plugged into the multimated and the case has a spot in the back to hold the probes. I do not particularly like the probes however. I like the design and the feel is ok as well... Also the insulation caps hat insulate the probe shaft and only expose the tips are very useful when measuring dangerous voltages. But it appears that the surface finish of the probe tips is of lower quality - when I attempted to measure the resitiance of a short curcuit by touching the tips of the probe together, the ranging took longer and the measured resistance was not stable. The problem entirely went away when I tried the same measurement with my cheap gold plated after-market probes. The included probes should be fine for rough electrical work.

Nice multimeter. It feels solid in your hands like a quality tool and seems accurate. Haven't used it a ton but the lights on the cable hookups make it really easy to set up when you dont use one every day. Great little kit
