Review: Relatively transparent drive - sounds pretty good to me - I like the sound of this. And it was only $45 which is pretty cheap for a new pedal. It works and sounds good and so far I don't notice it producing any weird noises....what else is there. Really nice to put just a little hair on a clean tone (kind of like a tweed or bassman) Or pair it with another pedal to have light, medium and heavy drive with two small pedals. I like it paired with a mini tube screamer for a combo of overdrives. It doesn't have a big midrange boost hump like the tubescreamer. If you're space constrained and/or budget constrained, this is a pretty good choice for an overdrive. It's always subjective and drive lovers seem to try many overdrives seeking out "the one". A better choice is to pair it with an EQ pedal and you can probably get what you're after with those two pedals. No complaints. I also had a warranty issue on another CNZ pedal and they were responsive and solved the problem so that was nice to know.
Review: Nice drive tone! Great value!! A keeper!!! - Normally I wait awhile to write a review, but the CNZ Audio Dumble style pedal was surprisingly useful near the front of my pedal chain. My best description of the tone is on the "cleaner side of overdrive" and "scoopless" if that makes any sense. This is not a chunk-chunk metal pedal but is plenty tight in that regard. The low end is rolled off too much for heavy music but seems to work well driving modulation pedals for intro's, etc. For me, the tones in this pedal get into the Steve Howe flavors of single note runs but so far performs better with my active single coils. Hot humbuckers seem too dirty for this pedal, but I will evetually test it on some hollow body P-90 guitars. Another thing I liked about this pedal is it doesn't get in the way and I don't have to fight it or wait for it, and works well for full bar chord attack. The harmonics are present but let's keep in mind it's not an unobtanium boutique pedal. Still, I think this pedal is very useful. Now, let's be realistic. It's not a real Dumble amp plus it's a mini pedal, but so far has exceeded my expectations, and for the low price, it may just be a high value winner. Whether is stays on my pedal board or not is undetermined but so far, so good.

## Features

- The Dumbled Drive Guitar Effects Pedal from CNZ Audio takes your electric guitar signal and adds that classic, meaty mid-range overdriven tone. This pedal can enhance your effects chain to dynamically broaden your tone and get that elastic overdrive sound you’ve been waiting for.
- The Voice Knob allows for you to choose the coloration of your tone. Turning the knob all the way in the counter-clockwise direction will remove the pedal’s natural sound and let you drive your guitar and amp with clarity. Turning the knob the opposite direction will unleash the pedal’s thick, overdriven tones.
- The Volume knob simply allows for the signal output from this pedal to be easily changed by the user. From a subtle overdrive effect to a loud and powerful sound, this pedal can do it all!
- The Gain knob allows for change in the overall amount of drive in the effect. Adding more Gain will make a louder and fuller tone while taking away some Gain will make for a great transparent drive sound.
- The Tone knob changes the EQ of the pedal. Adding more “top” by turning clockwise will engage more treble and mid sounds while turning it counterclockwise takes away the top end and brings out the lows. Inspire Your Music with this Vintage Series Pedal!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nothing Dumb(le) about it.
*by J***H on July 25, 2019*

CNZ is a great little company. Any of their pedals is worth the consideration when it comes to lower budget quality gear. This dumble is one of their flagship pedals and for really good reason. It’s REALLY good. Where it shines is definitely in the low gain just breaking up perfectly when you’re strumming type of overdrive. Think indie rock with a good tele and a cleanish amp. Who knows what an actual dumble sounds like and honestly with this pedal, who cares!? This pedal sounds great and is quality and is affordable. I wouldn’t put it in the incredibly versatile category but if you’re looking for a go to cleanish but not too clean OD, you need to have this on the list and for the price you might as well just get one. You won’t be disappointed. There’s a reason it’s one of their most popular pedals and you see it on boards next to OD’s in $200 range... it does that thing it does extremely well and let’s face it folks... it’s a thing a lot of guitar players want in our rig... that light to medium, clear and controlled, full and simple yet inspiring overdrive that we can depend on as either a go to or a boost add to another OD (which it does play very well with other). Get one. You’ll use it.
