As I used to use pro satellite finders over 20 years ago (Horizon/Rover) to install Sky for customers. I found this device really easy to use. I set the correct time/date, set the satellite to Astra 2 and thats it! No other settings need amending. I replaced an old dish with zero effort. The process was: locking in the correct direction and then locking in the correct elevation of the dish. In the "Installation" menu, making sure the signal "strength" and "quality" bars were optimal. Then job done. The finder helps you with an audible beep, and you can verify the signal by viewing channels. For the price, I think this finder is definitely worth it. Though you can find it cheaper elsewhere and I can't comment on long term ownership. Review: Excellent satellite meter - Very easy to operate and soon found Astra 28.2 and there is also an option to view channels broadcast on this satellite so overall great piece of kit. After trying it whilst caravanning I also found if the unit has been scanned for channels previously, when you lock onto the signal you can hear a tv program come straight on which means you don’t have to have direct view of the meter and then fine adjust the dish using the signal strength meter. Really easy to setup. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent device *by H***. on 16 August 2024* Within 5 minutes of opening the packaging I found the satellite I needed on the list displayed (Astra 2) I knew approximately the direction to point the dish and had my satellite dish aligned within seconds showing signal strength and quality, I did a a full channel scan and within a couple of minutes it had found the channels which could then see on the screen with all sorts of info that I don't understand otherwise it's so easy to use. There are several other settings/functions that I don't currenty understand or plan to use but they may be of use. Main point is it works, it's easy to use and it's quick and good value, much better than a traditional signal meter.
