LP Latin Percussion Twist Shaker Soft LP441T-S, Yellow

Had to play a slow jazz shuffle the other night, what a kit drummer would normally do with brushes on a snare. Managed to get a more intricate sound with a yellow ganza in one hand and a blue one in the other. These are so versatile and are now part of my standard percussion kit. Can’t live without them.

I bought these in a physical music shop but had to take them back the next day, as, when separated, shot leaks out of the holes which lock the two pieces together - basically, do a couple of gigs and you'll have empty shakers (and tiny grains of shot all over the place). I don't know if it was just a bad batch but the guy in the shop opened a few others to investigate and they were all like that. Maybe the medium and loud versions have larger shot which doesn't just fall out of the shakers.
