Glue was not in the box. Fairly easy fix but I was prepared to dive in and had to delay until I went to buy some. Good value as long as all the other pieces are there. I’ll update.Update, there were no batteries either and I had a tough time finding out which ones to use because the size was unique and there was nowhere on the box or in the Amazon description that indicated the battery size. Once I did get the correct batteries, one of the terminals snapped because the opening was too small. I can hopefully solder it back together.After reading other reviews, I now understand why glue and batteries were not included; I just wish I had known when ordering. I could have been prepared when I sat down to get started on this project.With all of that said, I love the detail on this model. There are several tiny details that I had to just leave out because my fingers would not allow but there are so many pieces that I don't miss the few I couldn't put together.I am very happy with this purchase

Once completed this is a really pretty little book nook.Having done a few others, I can confidently and emphatically say that this one had the most details and required the most work. This is not like other sets where the pieces click together. EVERYTHING must be glued together. I used big binder clips to hold things together while the glue dried. You will want to plan for this to be a multiple day project. I estimate that I spent more than 12 hours getting it together.Part of the time will be spent making tiny potted plants, books, signs, and cushions. The details on this are very nice. The sponges used for the greenery were great and I repurposed some for another book nook that was missing that kind of detail. I personalized some of the signs, but the ones provided would have been fine. I added mosaic tiles to form the street cobbles. I thought the amount of decoration was substantial, adding a lot of charm to the scene.The rest of the time will be on storefront assembly. Unlike other sets, the pieces are not marked. Its more like a LEGO set where they have an inventory list and then you find the pieces you need in the correct bag. Again, nothing clicks together. You also have to work around the lighting strings. GLUE - cannot stress enough that you need to be in a well-ventilated room and take some breaks.The lighting on this one is a full activity of its own. I used electrical tape for the connections and the wire still kept falling out. Eventually, I got everything taped down and working. The switch in front is a good option for turning the lights on. The lights are well placed and incorporated into the design.Overall, if the price is low and you want a significant challenge in creating a book nook, this is a great finished product. If you are looking for an inexpensive beginner project, I suggest trying one of the other sets to get the hang of construction first.

I've put together 7 book nooks all from different companies, and this is the worst! Random blank pieces of wood, missing walls for the book, everything needs to be cut out and glued on-including the outside and inside walls are blank wood. Decorations-bare wood, random beads, mashed, falling apart flowers, nothing looks like the pictures. Absolutly no placement of items on anything. And, no colorful sheets of wood to punch out items. Returned immediately.
