The passenger inside part of the door handle is typical problem in earlier X5 series. When it melts it is nasty gluey sticking stuff you cannot get rid of once you touch it. God help your passenger closing the door. I pried the outer leather part of the handle by gently pulling it off, and slid the new cover carefully upper part first, and gently massaged the lower part into its place. Pushed the outer part of the leather handle back into its place. Perfect fit. If you did not know about this issue with earlier X5 series, you would not notice the difference.
