Excellent replacements for the original factory fitted CBE ports
Used to upgrade the original CBE charging ports fitted in my campervan. Since they are capable of delivering more power overall just make sure that the original wiring is of sufficient cross sectional area (probably okay unless manufacturer really skimped during build) and fuse size is suitable, especially if they are daisy chained together.

Updating an existing installation
During the pandemic I put together a simple solat based charging system with Renogy panels, a Victron solar charge controller and battery temeperatire monitor and a battery, latterly updated to a LifePO4 type. It was simply designed to educate me on solar electric systems and to charge the many mobile devices we had in our home as purpose. So the system presented through a USB car charger connector also by Thievel.The original had one USB A and one USB C, and its worked very well every since I installed it. However the gradual trend to more USB C based devices started to cause issues and I decided to swap out the origional USB car charger for something that had more native USB C ports. So I bought this item instead with its two USB C connectors and still a USB A one as well.Swapping it out with the original one was extremely simple thanks to the spade connectors and it has exactly the same simple threaded nut type mounting arrangement and fitted directly into the existing hole. So it literally took a couple of minutes to swap over, during which I also removed the moulded cover as I dont need it - it just gets in the way - but the cover itself can be removed easily and intact so it you need to refit in the future is easily added back on.In usage to date has been absolutely spot on - connections to both USB A and USB C connected devices are good, items charge correctly including fast charge capable items and its just made better use of my little solar rig as a result. All in all a neat cost effective update.

Superb socket!!
A solid adapter with strong connections. Fitted securely and is so much better than the factory sockets installed. Love the little illumination so it’s easy to find in the dark. My car had now become a massive power bank for the entire family on road trips.
