Effective.... But powerful.
Bought the 800 lph version (1600 lph total output) for my 800 litre tank. It's situated at the top of the tank ( below the water line). I have African Cichlids who poop like there's no tomorrow. This wavemaker stirs up all the poop to help it get to the filters more quickly. Unfortunately, even tho my fish love swimming against the current, the opposite end of the tank where the water from the wavemaker hits the glass... the water shoots downwards and the sand is pushed away, resulting in a bare bottom. The sand bunches up against the rocks in the first third of my tank. The fish are happy having to move the sand away from their territory, but once they do, they have to continue to do so. May need to purchase the 4000 lph( doubled to 8000 lph) version. To be fair, this wavemaker is quiet and very good.... but maybe just too good.

Powerful!
Amazingly powerful and quiet. I bought the smaller one as my reef tank is only 125 litres. Glad I did because larger one would have been way to powerfulAnnoyingly now one of the propellers keeps running in reverse and I cannot solve itEdit 2 months in:Wish I didn’t bother , either 1 is running in reverse or 1 is making a stupid noise. Started well but now appears to be a waste of money

Good value and works well
Decent, good value wavemaker. Does a great job, and has been running well for over a month so far. Delivers a good, consistent flow and is quiet! My lights are louder. There are two settings: on or off. The two heads can be rotated to direct the current, but not independently as they both share the same rotating base. I've just bought another today as I want to increase the flow in my tank further.Only two minor "issues": one is that sometimes one or both of the impellers spin backwards when turning the wavemaker back on, although this is easily rectified by turning it off and on again. I considered connecting it to a smart plug so I could create different wave modes, but because of this I don't think it would work well. Another "issue" is that the protective case in front of the impeller can loosen if you're not careful. Again these are very minor and hardly detract from its usefulness.EDIT 15/04/2024: The impellers keep reversing. Which is ruining the flow in my tank. Will contact seller for help.

Excellent water movement, noisy after 10 days, then not noisy.....
The power this thing has is superb. It moves water from one end of my 7' tank to the other and with ease. After only ten days of use though the thing sounds like a worn out washing machine. The rubber does little to dampen the noise, and it's too irritating to live with unfortunately.**I have turned the powerhead off several times and lifted in and out of the aquarium and it seems to have re-balanced itself.
