Works fine, no polarity change required
Works perfectly with a Samsung USB wall adapter to power a Strymon Cloudburst. It's center-negative so it works with most pedals right out of the box (bag); no polarity conversion required.Doesn't feel flimsy, but I wouldn't go yanking it out by the cable. Might not last as long if installed where its constantly being jostled. There are less expensive adapters that look identical, but most I saw were center-positive, and I was willing to pay ~$4 more to avoid the inconvenience of either using a polarity converter or re-soldering the leads.Make sure your USB power source has enough amps on the 5V side for the 9V power draw (roughly twice what you need on the 9V side).

Nice addition to my little pedalboard.
My little pedaboard was aways powered by a 1-Spot. Now, a phone power bank and this voltage converting USB cable are doing the job perfectly. I think the key is that one of my pedals is a Zoom multi-stomp (MS-70CDR) that is always drawing enough current that the phone power bank never shuts off.

Great
IT works exactly as intended. I use it to connect a pedalboard daisy chain to a usb power brick.

Correct cable, terrible build quality.
Broke in about two seconds. USB end not sealed. Snapped in half when my toddler moved it.

Works with Jet Micro
Was looking for a usb a to 9v cable to power a jet micro pedal off a portable battery. Tried a few different cables off here and this is the only one that worked.

Works well; plug not suitable for guitar pedals
Like others, I bought this transformer to power a small pedal board from a phone charger. It provides a steady 9.6 volts from a 5v supply, and works well in this role. But the plug, while center negative, is not compatible with guitar pedals. It's a simple operation to splice on the correct plug, but mind the polarity.

Pedal power
Used it so I can power my pedal board through our portable PA system

Sent wrong size….twice
The first one I bought was exactly what I wanted and works like a charm. Wanted a second for a backup cable and was sent one with a smaller jack (not a 5.5x2.1). Thought it must have been a fluke in shipping so I was surprised when I got the replacement that it was the same size jack.
