This ice cream rock salt is a great value and works perfectly for making homemade ice cream. It does exactly what I need it to do and helps the ice cream freeze properly in the ice cream maker. A simple product that works well and is a great option if you make ice cream at home.

For the price you're getting four boxes compared to the one box at the same price so just letting you know even if you don't make a ton of ice cream which I have a pint ice cream maker. But why would I pay the same price for one box when I get four boxes I've got to NeverEnding supply of rock salt for making ice cream it's a good value and it's good stuff works well kept the ice from melting long enough for me to make vegan ice cream with it!

Yup, it’s ice cream maker salt! It does its job and does it well!!

Packaged as one case of 4(four) smaller individual 1-lb boxes for ease of use. The salt itself is clean, unlike some that tend to leave a dirty residue. The boxes are sturdy, not flimsy, so it won't collapse as it gets emptier. Gets 4 stars instead of 5 due to the opening in the box is small and the salt doesn't come out very easily, so you will most likely need to make an adjustment to the opening for better product flow.

I used this salt to clear winter ice on my porch steps and sidewalk. Cheaper than specialized salt and worked beautifully. No plants or grass showed any damage. I did not over salt as I know it is not the preferred salt for that purpose.

Morton Salt again to the rescue! After checking three stores, none of which had Ice Cream Salt, I got on Amazon and it was immediately delivered. The Morton Salt is the best to use when making Homemade Ice Cream!
