Salt worked well for making ice cream. Haven’t used it for any thing else. Large amount so I will have enough for a few more uses of the ice cream machine.

For the price you're getting four boxes compared to the one box at the same price so just letting you know even if you don't make a ton of ice cream which I have a pint ice cream maker. But why would I pay the same price for one box when I get four boxes I've got to NeverEnding supply of rock salt for making ice cream it's a good value and it's good stuff works well kept the ice from melting long enough for me to make vegan ice cream with it!

We bought this to make ice cream. I didn’t need that much salt, but that was the option I had. We did make the icecream and it was a lot of work. I am not sure we will do that again. The experience was fun though.

I live in a small home, so this was a nice alternative to expensive ice melt you find at the hardware store.

Packaged as one case of 4(four) smaller individual 1-lb boxes for ease of use. The salt itself is clean, unlike some that tend to leave a dirty residue. The boxes are sturdy, not flimsy, so it won't collapse as it gets emptier. Gets 4 stars instead of 5 due to the opening in the box is small and the salt doesn't come out very easily, so you will most likely need to make an adjustment to the opening for better product flow.

This ice cream rock salt is a great value and works perfectly for making homemade ice cream. It does exactly what I need it to do and helps the ice cream freeze properly in the ice cream maker. A simple product that works well and is a great option if you make ice cream at home.
