I have had numerous mandolines over the years. This one is the best so far! I use it at least weekly. Mostly for superfine slicing of fennel for Fennel Fatoush salad, Cole slaw, cucumber sandwiches, carrot ribbons, various salad trimmings, and scalloped potatoes. Superb thickness adjustments. Easy to clean. Stores fairly flat. But, best of all, I can sharpen the blade!! Yup, after a year of use, this baby still rocks.

Perfectly sliced eggplant. Eggplant is spongy and sometimes tricky to slice on a mandolin but this one made the task easy. The German sounding name sold me because they are known for their quality cutlery. I was prepared to spend twice as much for a mandolin and was pleasantly surprised by the price and quality. Instructions are a little confusing but I was able to get the task at hand done.

Overall, works fine. The "lock" on the side for the cover isn't very "locked." I find it can easily slip off and the cover gets wonky.I do like the variety of slicing/shredding options.The rubber on the legs is marginal on my marble countertop, so I have to brace it against something so it won't slide around while I am slicing.

I owned the previous version of this mandoline. It was a very nice unit but there was no way to replace the blade when it went dull. This version has the opportunity to remedy that as the blade is removable and should be able to be replaced.I've made waffle and straight fries with this as well as sliced tomatoes and jalapeños. It just works as intended.

I live this slicer. I've always used the hand held type and was always slicing my fingers pretty badly. This slicer has a stand that it sturdy and the blades are out of the way to where my fingers never touch the blades. It take a minute to get use to but after you get your rhythm it's easier to use than the other mandoline slicers I've used.

Great slicer! I've ordered a few and this has been the best.

Knob to change thickness broke after using it twice. Poor quality. Can’t make waffle fries like the picture.
