Plug and Play
I have a 12’ Pilot that unfortunately doesn’t offer any options to upgrade the radio unless it’s a custom fit. I saw this and with the coupon I purchase it to give it a try. Please allow this review to be the only review that gets you to buy it. I’m a stickler for sensitivity when it comes to touchscreens. I HATE lag. This touchscreen has ZERO lag. Extremely responsive. The Apple car play works automatically (after the initial setup) which is what’s really important. It takes about 10 secs to auto connect but by time you get in, turn the car on, put your seat belt on, you already connected and ready to go. It’s very clear and does not look cheap. This is a MUST BUY. No screws required, it comes with a sticky pad and in case you you put it down and change your mind on the placement, it brings an extra just in case. But let me tell you what it doesn’t do. It doesn’t do screen mirror. So no, you aren’t gonna be watching Netflix while driving. The speakers on the unit itself are not good, (not that you’ll actually use them). I recommend you use the aux connection so you can listen through your car speaks but keep in mind, if you have steering wheel controls, the only part that’ll work is the volume controls. After all, I love it and I couldn’t be happier.

Pretty much just what I wanted.
Let me preface this review by saying it's unfair of me to dock points because of things it's lacking due to the price point; this product deserves 5 stars because it was only $100, the most affordable of it's kind on Amazon. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and a Chevy 2015 (no native android auto.) Setup was fairly difficult at first, pairing was a hassle and the initial setup of the device made me nervous because it looks very cheap with 4 buttons labeled things like "Apple Carplay" an "Android Auto." But after about 20 minutes of messing around I got my phone to pair and recognize it as a car display. Then, I couldn't get my Spotify music to come out of the display or my car. This made me frustrated but the solution was as simple as selecting the button on the display "Bluetooth audio." from there I followed the steps and my audio works through my car speakers and the display speaker is turned off. After using it for a while I can say I'm definitely pleased. When you start the car, the phone auto-pairs and brings up the android auto hub in a few seconds. From there it shows maps and Spotify, and when I choose a location it brings up full screen directions. Overall, I'm very pleased and for a cheap product it makes the driving experience feel nice. My ONE complaint about it is that there is this loud tone that plays when the car starts, like the classic cheap android startup sound. I can't turn it off and it's embarrassing. every time it turns on it's this ridiculous chime that I can't turn off no matter what. I suspect putting tape over the speakers but a toggleable "play chime on startup" that I can turn off. Regardless, if you're hesitant like I was, go for it. Amazon does free returns and I would guess that once you've worked out the kinks and get it set up properly you will be happy you went for it.

Cool device with poor audio
For $79 I’m not sure what I expected. Overall, I think it’s an excellent deal for someone wanting an inexpensive, fast and easy way to get CarPlay in their older car. The device feels well built, the display is snappy and responsive, the connectivity is super fast, and it even has other features like AirPlay/phone mirroring! Now for the negatives. I feel like these could easily be overlooked, especially for the price, but I didn’t find them worth it. The sound quality is fine, but definitely less that the Bluetooth connection I already have in my car. Audio is overall somewhat muffled in comparison. My only other negative is the size of the device. The large screen is cool, but the device is bulky and difficult to make blend in with the rest of my vehicles interior. If you’re looking for a quick CarPlay solution and aren’t worried about a little bulk and slightly diminished audio quality, I honestly think this is the way to go!

Not for Android 17+ users.
Was a great device. Unfortunately now that Android 17 is out for all Pixels and many other devices, it just won't stay connected. The issue is not really their fault. Android is taking aggressive measures to protect battery drain and this has led to many devices such as this to have a difficult time staying connected. Works great otherwise. Just not for Android 17+. And yes - the adhesive is too weak on the mount. Podofo has done nothing but say they can't verify my order to give me an updated software download for it and I am not convinced they have one that works with Android 17.

great budget friendly upgrade!
i was really unsure if i wanted to take a chance on one of these screens since i’ve seen such mixed reviews, but so far the screen is performing well. i ordered mine last night and got it this morning, it was really easy to set up, the hardest part was hiding the wiring but that’s optional of course. i managed to completely hide the wiring except for where it plugs into the screen and it looks really good. my car already has an infotainment screen so i wasn’t sure if i really needed one of these carplay screens, but it definitely makes a huge difference. i love seeing my upcoming calendar events and accessing my spotify without going on my phone. i’ve also used siri a few times since setting it up and it’s so helpful. the screen has good image quality and is pretty responsive, it actually loads quicker than my original car screen. once i plugged it into my car i just had to bluetooth my phone to the screen and allow carplay, and i didn’t even have to bluetooth the screen to my car or anything, my audio plays just like normal. i still use my steering wheel to control volume and skip songs/etc which was important to me when looking for carplay screens. the startup screen is obnoxious and i’m not sure why there’s no option to change it, but i’m going to follow the review that said how to, should be an easy fix. the startup sound really isn’t that big of a deal, yes it’s not ideal, but this is a budget option so i’m fine with it. overall so far so good! i’ll update if anything goes wrong.

A good CarPlay plus a good client service. What more to ask?
It is a reasonable priced CarPlay.I had this item for almost a year and it served me well.T’was intuitive and has had a very crisp display and then it became problematic recently.I’d relayed and reached out my issues to Podofo, they responded and offered me a brand new CarPlay.I mean what can I say?Hats off.I loved the gesture that they’re sticking to their product.

Okay, but carplay audio is AWFUL
***I ONLY TESTED APPLE CARPLAY AND AIRPLAY, NOT ANDROID AUTO I got this product as a cheap alternative to the more expensive similar products in hopes it would do the job. First impressions are decent, the hardware is solid. The device is packaged solidly, and came in great condition. Screen is very nice and wide, has a clear picture. The cigarette lighter adapter was a bit larger than I hoped but not the end of the world. The plug ins to the device are hidden on the back which is a clean design choice. Now the software for the device really isn’t so bad. Connecting to Carplay the device is super quick and rather intuitive. Most people familiar with basic bluetooth connections can pair their device without checking the manual. The screen is responsive enough, with a slight delay that is noticeable but not bad enough to warrant a complaint. All the apps work just fine. AirPlay works fine too but it is definitely not as smooth as CarPlay. The picture quality is not the greatest, and the delay is much more noticeable than Carplay. Good enough to watch a video if you don’t need the best quality video. So what made me return the product? Everything seems good enough so far…. This was my deal breaker Unfortunately my old car does not have bluetooth connection, so I was unable to connect my stereo to the sound system through bluetooth. But I did test both alternatives (FM and Aux). The audio when using CarPlay is absolutely awful and unmanageable. For some reason when using CarPlay the audio quality drops drastically. It is odd because when using the systems native software the audio sounds great, and flows through the sound system great using a casette to mp3 adapter. It sounds just as good as connecting my phone directly to the mp3 adapter. However when using CarPlay the audio quality absolutely plummets. Audio quality is a non-negotiable for me and is very important to my driving experience. I tried to find alternatives like having audio coming through the iPhone rather than the device but I was unable to do so, and couldn’t find a solution. Ultimately, this made me return the product on the same day I received it. In conclusion, the product is fine generally. If you are not worried about audio quality then all other apps work just fine with this product and it is a decent alternative if you want to spend under $100 for a solution vs $250+ for competing brands. However I would find it difficult to even enjoy music in any capacity when going through Aux or FM Transmitter with this product. A podcast MAY be manageable but even then I imagine it would get annoying down the line. (maybe bluetooth is better but I could not test it). TLDR; if you are using this for Carplay, It does the job with everything except audio quality which is so terrible I ultimately returned it on the same day I received it. (Did not test out Bluetooth)

Just buy a phone holder instead
Update: The reps from this company monitor the reviews and reached out within 2 days of the review going live. They unconditionally offered me a refund, which I've graciously accepted. I want to send them the device back, but they asked me to keep it. I'm updating this review to 5 stars only because they are good people and are trying to build their brand. I hope the next iteration of this product solves all these problems. Thank you Podofo. ----------- If you are having problems, return this thing in the returns period or else you'll be stuck with it. This device is amazing - on paper. In the real world, it does everything it's supposed to do, but it does a whole bunch of other infuriating things which make this device useless. Pros: Nice screen. Great when it works. Cons: many cons 1. Constantly disconnects. You have to remove or set all saved wifis and public wifis to not connect automatically otherwise you'll lose connection when you're driving around. Even then, it will disconnect every 30 minutes or 1 hour for unknown reasons. 2. It takes anywhere between 5 seconds or 5 minutes to reconnect, during which time, you don't have any directions. I always have to pull over or somehow unlock my phone, launch maps, type in the address to resume navigation. Total hassle. 3. The device connects with a headset and media profile. Even if you uncheck the boxes for phone call and media in it's Bluetooth properties, it will still connect and take over your phone again and again and again... It is very frustrating when it does this when I'm on a phone call. I almost always have to pull it's cord to turn it off when I take a phone call. The built in speaker and mic are also just terrible. 3. Gps is laggy on the map even when my phone is on the dash. Maps shows my location correctly, but this device sometimes thinks I'm still in the parking lot a mile away. 4. This company's support is a ridiculous waste of time. I think they want to waste your time till your They asked me to factory reset, then they sent me an IMG file to flash on the device... Their device flasher is in Mandarin and keeps throwing errors. They made me try with different SD cards but same error. I tried opening the IMG file with different flashers but none of them can show me what's in it. Podofo: if you CARE, I want to return this device.
