Can you use a pot/pan of any type of material? Magnetic pans also can be used?

I believe so. I use it to fool my induction element if I am using aluminum or Copper bottom pots and pans.

My induction stove has only level settings. Will this work? I am returning one which only works if one can set the temperature.

Not sure about the question?If you mean level settings as L-P and 2-10 it works on my induction stove. I do not have knobs all one touch. So yes it works so far..

Can this product be used on a gas hob for pans that are too small for the gas ring diameter?

Not familiar with gas. The only type of cookware that I tried this with was an aluminum pancake pan on my induction stove top. On the highest setting it did not transfer enough heat to brown the pancakes

Can you use induction cook ware on a regular stove?

Yes, to be induction ready they have to have copper , stainless steel, or cast iron they can all be used on regular stoves.
