This summer we have had the conservatory doors and the front door open all day every day and the blinds have come into their own. They are high enough not to touch the ground and even when they get wet from showers they dry out quickly and efficiently. They prevent the majority of insects and also fledglings from flying into the house. Of course they are not 100% full proof, I cannot imagine a walk through blind that would be, but they keep the majority of insects on the garden side not in the house. It was wonderful to find a 100 cm wide version for wider doorways as well as the standard 80 cm version. The easiest way to keep the blinds in place above the doorway is to use three straight screw in shouldered brass cup hooks (must be straight not curved) on which the plastic tube can rest securely and it is quick and simple and unobtrusive and the blinds can be lifted down and put away when not in use with great ease.

Having used this for a few weeks now I can say that it is pretty good at preventing wasps from entering the house. Of course it does not keep out all insects because when the wind blows the strips fly everywhere. I have noticed a big difference in the number of flies getting indoors and the other big advantage is that we can leave the door open all day without worrying about garden birds or squirrels coming into the house.The disadvantage is that when it is very windy the strips fly around and bang on the window, so we bring the blind inside when the weather is wet and windy. We had to put it on the outside of the door into the garden because the door opens inwards. Overall I would say this is the perfect solution for us. The blind is well made and good quality.

Totally inaccurate description completely lightweight (they describe as heavyweight ) the slightest breeze will open the curtain strips allowing insects to enter with ease and also the mounting bar sags when fitted with I might add the brackets you have to purchase as none are supplied complete rubbish and expensive at 17 pounds ( however their return system is easy to use and will refund you immediately )

Strips blow all over the place in the wind and get caught up. The dogs find it very easy to walk through but so do the flies. I'm not impressed with this product and will have to replace with something more substantial.

I originally purchased the regular door curtain, to check if it was a decent product. It's not only a decent product, it is an amazing product, so I ordered a second one for the utility door. I then contacted the company to see if they made a bigger curtain as the one on the patio door was about 3" either side too small - we have an oversized door because of wheelchair access. They responded within a couple of days informing me that they did make a curtain to fit my door. I now have 3 of these curtains. They really are heavy duty, they still blow about in the breeze, which is lovely, but not flapping about and getting tangled like cheaper versions I have had in the past. Can't recommend these high enough. Plus they do a variety of colours. I love the blue and black one in the utility.

If you want to keep flies out I wouldn't recommend this product as it only works if the is no wind about. That's unlikely if you hang in on an exterior door. For what I am going to use it for I'm going to have to get another one to knock down wood turning off a lathe.

Fab item, does the job exactly how we wanted it to. No more pesky flies in our house. Easy to install. We used the push and grab holders (that you'd use in a cupboard to stand your mop and brush in)
