Q: If you use it with a side bound notebook, then how does it attach? Do you just place it loosely inside? I'm worried it might slip out.

I'm sending mine back. I have a standard side bound notebook as shown in their picture, and I cannot close the front... crazy

It’s faux leather but when I put it against my $500 briefcase I can’t tell the difference.
