Knauf's 'Earthwool' is made from recycled glass fibres. If you are looking for 'Mineral Rock' wool, Knauf has the 'Rocksilk' line. - I've specified this on construction projects.

Attention needs to be paid to the surface under your wooden floor if that is not plasterboard or timber, i.e. if this is a ground floor and the surface underneath is concrete, soil etc. A suitable moisture barrier should be used.
