Works... "just like what it oughta"
It brought to life my grandad's old hand sickle that had been lying in the garage unused for decades. I used this coarse cigar stone to reprofile the edge and then applied a medium/fine canoe stone that came with my scythe to refine the edge and remove any burr. Whereas before the sickle would just catch and tug on any vegetation, now it cuts and slices with ease. It's now my favourite garden tool. I'll usually pick this over electric hedge trimers. It's so quick and precise on spontaneous trimming tasks with no faff of cables or battery management. but good sharpening is key and this coarse, 120 grit cigar stone is the foundation 'stone' for many of my garden tools. It's used on my hoe, spade and shears edges too.

Larger than the picture shows
This will not sharpen a cigar. I was misled by the title but it does look the same as the picture, only bigger in real life.

A little disappointing
Although this arrived very promptly the next day, I was somewhat disappointed to find that the finish to the stone was not entirely smooth. I think some quality control is needed, though the actual stone itself is of good quality.

stone works good but the box it comes with needs to be better. just a very thing box that barely covers the stone. that box was inside a paper tin shipping bag.

Very poorly packaged ….
I didn’t get to use it. It arrived poorly packed considering that it’s a relatively delicate item, and no surprise, it was in 3 pieces…. It looks good, and I really need to sharpen my sickle, but alas no….
