After having read and absolutely LOVED Nero I couldn't wait for King! This book immediately became one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I started counting down the days and once I got to dive back into the Alliance world, I had to devour this bad boy in one sitting. I loved King with all my heart!I've been so curious about King, our man with his universal key ways and was absolutely ecstatic to learn his book was next! Back to The Alliance I went.King and Savannah's journey had me utterly hooked from beginning to end! Savannah is at her friend's house with a guy she's been seeing and discovers he's married. It's there her world collides with King's and when Savannah witnesses something she shouldn't have, King kidnaps her. As Savannah is thrust into the darkness and forced to marry King, will she escape? Or will the heart want what it wants?King is sin personified and I am forever addicted!Right from the memorable moment King and Savannah meet to how they are brought closer together than ever, I was glued to these two and their story from start to finish! Savannah is an artist and her passion shines throughout this story. I so admired her love for her art and her fighting spirit. I related to her on so many deep levels that got to me. King is part of The Alliance and his world isn't for the faint of heart. Red flags and all, I loved how determined King was when it came to Savannah and how there was more to this man than meets the eye.I didn't know how Savannah and King would tackle the situation they were in, their marriage, and every emotion they drew from each other and that had me even more invested in their story. I was on edge all throughout reading. I loved the sides King and Savannah brought out in one another and how they didn't back down. These two could make any ice cube turn into an absolute puddle with how they set fire to my kindle! 🥵 Without a doubt some of the most unique steamy moments I've ever read!From the thoughtfulness and heart to the dark and relatable, this story brought it all and then some! King is a heart stealer and so is Savannah! Just like Nero and Payton, King and Savannah have left their mark on my heart. Also, I so want to be King's Baby. 😍Sometimes life can surprise you and lead someone your way that gets your soul, from the messy, dark, the beautiful, and everything in between and that was shown in spades through King and Savannah's story.There were so many parts that I highlighted, but here are just some of my favorite quotes -"Life is way more fun when you just let yourself feel and don't bother with psychoanalyzing every moment to death.""And because the world needs your art.""Like there's something connecting my chest to his. A tangible string I swear I could touch if I tried.""Savannah is your match.""My King."Being back in The Alliance world and getting to reunite with my favorites thrilled this book loving heart of mine to no end! Also, I adored Duke and what the other characters brought to the story!With King, Ms.Tilly has outdone herself with this unputdownable, absolutely unforgettable, and orginal dark mafia read! From the depth, the twisted, humor, heat, and every bit of feels it all made for one addictive journey I couldn't get enough of! Once again, She knocked the darkness right of the park! Another top read of 2023 for me and a new favorite! ❤Such a fantastic addition to The Alliance world! This author and her books continue to make me fall even more in love with reading than I already am. I loved Nero but I’m pretty sure my heart belongs to King.Honestly judging by their “meet-cute” if you will, I knew these two would be pretty hilarious together. From the bumbling lasagna to forgetting keys with her cheating ex to seeing something she shouldn’t have and being carried away. “Did I just help kidnap myself” was a great line. I also thought the sock drawer part was pretty funny.His relationship with Savannah goes beyond the touch her and d*e that we see so much in mafia storylines. The way he not only loved that she loved art, but encouraged it and gave her a space to create it just melted my heart.I really liked that the secondary characters in the story were more than window dressing. I like that they had a relationship with Savannah and were there for her at a time when she really didn’t have anyone else and then became like a part of the family.SJ Tilly’s writing always sucks me right in and I love getting to play in the worlds that she creates. I also really love the plus size representation that she has in her books, because as readers we often like to envision ourselves in the story and that includes people who aren’t society’s “standard.” I’m very excited for the newest adventure with the men (and their ladies) of Alliance. I can’t wait to read what comes next!

After greedily devouring the first book, I absolutely had to read King as soon as possible. I had enjoyed his scenes in Nero's story and was very much looking forward to his turn in the spotlight.Fast-forward two days... and I am hooked. There's just no denying it. This series has proven to be amazing, delivering great and complex characters with dark, twisty, and fabulously filthy plots.Both of these lead characters were just sympathetic enough, in their own ways, to keep me rooting for them to push through every obstacle no matter how depraved the situation wound up being. In their heart-of-hearts, both King and Savannah had very similar emotional needs that helped me believe in their potential together, as well as helped me connect with them.This book is spicier than the first, and bolder about it, too!And there's also an amazing doggo. Duke definitely earned a mention.Overall, just like with book one, if you're looking for a hot and spicy mafia romance you can sink your teeth into, do not pass this up. Reading in order would be better, but I doubt it's necessary. Just know your triggers first.

I loved Nero and I love King. I love that these books don't make you wait over a hundred pages to get the story going. The book opens with our FMC heading over to a friend's house that just had surgery with a date. They walk in and she goes to introduce her date to her friend and the other two guests but it turns out to be his wife and brother-in-law. Our FMC didn't know and when she goes to pick up her keys stumbles upon the brother-in-law in an unfortunate situation. The rest of the book is about seeing how they come together as a couple and it's a fun ride with plenty of cameos from Nero and Payton from book one. We also get introduced to some new characters. My only wish is we could have seen Savannah and Aspen get past their differences. Aspen was cruel and while I can understand she was rightfully upset her husband was a dirtbag putting all the blame on Savannah and not. So I would have liked a little more closure than we got. But overall I really enjoyed this and I am looking forward to book 3 with Dom.

I knew it. I knew this would happen from the moment King graced the page in book 1. I knew I would love him.While I loved Nero, I went feral for King. The book is somehow even more unhinged than book 1, and I loved every moment. Once again, despite the book being a dark romance, I found that amazing Tilly humor that I love so much and the bromance between Nero and King is as sparkling as ever. But what I loved above else is the whole romance arc between King and Savannah. The premise of the story was amazing, loved how the arranged marriage trope was handled, and the spice was HOT! Hotter than any the author has ever written before! King is a beast in the sheets and out of them too. He’s the president of the whole touch her and… trope. And yet despite his rough ways, he’s so good to Savannah and the people he loves.Clearly, I have elected King not just to book boyfriend but to book HUSBAND status.Special mention goes to the dog, Duke. I adored him!

This plot is unbelievable but I can tell you it worked. And worked perfectly. The story was captivating and the action was well placed.King is a walking and talking red flag 🚩Savannah is an artist, a painter, with few friends. She craves for family and connection but always felt very alone.With this forced proximity/kidnapping “thing” 😂 she founds in King everything she wanted the most.The way King worshiped her was delicious to read, the kink stuff is not for everybody so check the triggers, but if it’s for you, you’ll love thaaaaaat much 🥵.But I need to say the truly hero in this book is called Duke: this dog stoled my heart for good 🖤. I’m a goner for dogs, every book with them will get 5⭐️ from me!

This book had a little bit of everything…. Im talking an gap (45 and 32) kidnapping, forced marriage, all things mafia and it was 🔥🔥🔥King and Savannah were perfectly written for each other and the storyline for them was truly well done! I would say that this book was a bit slower then Nero but honestly just as good. We also got to see more of the famous bestie due King and Nero, I freaking love these two together and their banta, it’s hilarious!!I’ve come to appreciate SJ’s writing because there is nothing better then a good story with a quick plot. I can’t stand when things are dragged out but these books are not like that at all, amazing job🙏🏼🙌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥/5🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
