I bought these to drill some holes in my brake pads edges, the holes that anti squeal springs fit in (bought new exact match pads from the dealer and turned out the car manufacturer stopped using these anti squeal springs, I prefer them to be on for my peace of mind). The other set of drill bits that I bought from the local hardware store were longer and as a result kept breaking, so I bought these and they held up quite well for my needs. I drilled 8 perfect holes and only broke one when I got distracted and they penetrated just the length I needed, I used the other longer drill bits to drill just a little deeper. I recommend these, they worked great for me.

Was happy to make this purchase as I kept losing screwdriver heads and also needed to add some drill bits. What surprised me was not finding any flathead driver bits. Not a deal breaker but be warned.

The bits worked surprisingly well, considering the price point. I had occasion to drill a 5/16" hole in a piece of thick metal. I started with a small bit and worked my way up to the correct size. Each bit did its job. Not sure of the longevity at this price point but I did not purchase expecting them to last forever. I gave it 4 stars because it looked to me like the smaller bits were flexing. I was using a drill press and didn't feel the flex. The holes were still straight, so it just could have been light reflecting off the bit.

They are a nice looking set of bits. Wouldn’t cut for me no good if they don’t cut.
