I put the pitot tube on my dryer, while the fan is just behind a damper on an intake duct. Because of the intended use as a booster, this is programmed to shut off for a bit every five minutes to see if there is still flow with the motor off. For my use I wish there was a mode that doesn't need to shut off to sense, as the fan is on a different duct.
