After 3 months, still a champ
I've had this now for 3 months, and am still amazed at how well it performs. As a cigar smoker, I've bought dozens if not hundreds of lighters over the year. This easily outperforms any of them. It always lights the first time, and produces a flame that will torch the tip of any cigar that's not constructed of asbestos. (Perhaps it would also light asbestos, but I don't have any such cigars). The flame is easily adjustable, a single fill of butane lasts for a month or more, there's an easy knob to turn the butane on or off (a nice safety feature), it appears to be incredibly durable. I don't write many Amazon reviews, but this is one I wanted to get out there - to fellow cigar lovers, this is a gem which is well worth the price. And likely the last cigar lighter you'll ever need,

Works well.
Works well. I use it light my grill and it lights the starter fast. The only thing is there is no flame when it’s set to low.

Fair torch for the money!
I bought this for my baker wife after she decided to try her hand at meringue. I don’t know how it works in the kitchen, but for lighting cigars, it’s wonderful! I smoke only two or three times a month, but when I do, I reach for the torch and sneak out to the porch. It’s adjustment is a little rough; if it’s too high, a small adjustment of the slide creates a flame too small... flame adjustments are hard to fine tune. The tank holds sufficient quantity of fluid to make up for the flamethrower position of the flame askusy lever though. I have had to fill it once in a year’s time. I guess that explains why I haven’t seen any meringue desserts.

Stopped igniting after 3 months
I wanted to love this little torch. I really did. I work with epoxy/resin and use a torch to remove bubbles. When refilling with butane I had to hold on tightly to the butane can and the torch and shake them really hard for the butane to go in. Kind of a pain but I got used to it. But then this week it stopped igniting. You can hear the butane escaping when you press the button, but no flame. I was able to get a flame by lighting it with a lighter but that's just ridiculous. It's past my window to return it so now to shop for another brand......

Decent, no proper directions, works.
I originally bought this to seer food after Sous video and found out the flame is just too small. It's not the fault of the torch at all but it would take forever to add some color. Of note, I have never had one of these so I bought a few butane canisters and was at a loss as to where to screw them in. The butane actually gets loaded into the black handle on the bottom and while trying to get the liquid in this unit it has an unsecured connection and leaks while filling. Overseas vendors have to start investing into directions and translation, if not for that this would have scored higher.

For culinary use & DIY
I purchased for primary kitchen use. I'm also a DIY person and was removing nail heads from a chair back to remove the fabric. WOW super challenging. The first chair back took hours and most of the nails ended up bent. Finally a light bulb went off and I trimmed the fabric close to the nail heads and used the torch to burn the excess raggedy edge. This torch was SUPER easy to ignite. Just push the button and voila! Easy fill and refilling of canister and I love the button safety feature. I'm sure this torch could easily be used for heating paint to expose cells in pour painting.
