Cucamelon seeds (a sour Mexican gherkin
Bought this item last year grew really well. Fruit tasted amazing. Took about 10 days to germinate and good viable seeds.

All the seeds came destroyed.
Seeds came completely crushed, mostly powder and bits in the packet.

Survived Hurricane Hillary A+
I've heard (and it says so right on the packet) that these seeds take weeks to germinate. I was very surprised (and totally unprepared) when most of the seeds germinated in two days. I germinated them under light in a moist paper towel over a seed heating pad and it was already 75-80F ~50% humidity interior if that helps. I used around 20 seeds and got 15 to germinate and 15 healthy plants, half of which I need to give away somehow...I've also heard that these plants are very susceptible to transplant shock, so I seeded them in grow sponges so that their roots wouldn't move much during transplant. I then transferred them to 3" planters to harden outside, then planted them in soil. They are all growing well two weeks and a tropical storm later. Can't wait for some melons!(3 weeks later) Wow these things are almost 5 feet tall now. I should have set up a bigger trellis.

Only a few sprouted
I was looking forward to these. I started them inside in a covered tray and only a couple of them sprouted. I transfered the good ones to the garden and they are trying to grow. I am sprouting more, we shall see.

Grows like a crazy
I planted these in a large pot with a tomato cage, its crazy how fast it grew. I already have flowers and tiny Cucamelon's. If we get a yield of how many flowers we currently have we will have these to eat into the fall.

Got a sprout
I got a sprout from the seeds that I planted. Unfortunately something ate it after I transplanted it to my garden. I will have to try planting more next year and protecting them better.
