Button closure! What no zipper?

This style has a zippered fly and button closure at the waist.

Do these pants have the loop on the right hip? Not the hammer loop on thr left thigh but a smaller loop that fits a ratchet?

I use the loop on my right hip between the front pocket and the back pocket to hold my folding knife. It's quite handy! They also have the hammer loop on the left thigh but I never use it.

How dark is the navy color? light, medium, very dark?

They are very dark, but not so much that they look black or anything. Color reminds me of navy colored work pants I used to get from the uniform service back when I worked in a shop. Except these are much more comfortable and better material. I haven't had mine long enough to tell if they'll fade any. The other colors I have had for a while have faded only a little bit, so I expect these to stay looking like new for a long time.

What is difference in 38x32 and 38w x 32l? why are sizes listed twice but like this?
