Great for beginners

Great book for learning basic Portuguese
Great book, my brothers girlfriend is Portuguese and so I bought the book to learn some of the language so I could make her feel more at home.

Just easy to find your way.
Very thorough regarding every day phrases for main occasions, ie. Shopping. illness, travel etc…some grammar a d English/Portuguese.

Bit limited vocabulary but nice book
Short break to Portugal, not as useful as hoped due to limited vocabulary. Neat size & not expensive so not bad review.

VERY GOOD FOR TRAVELLING
This latest edition for European Portuguese is really good and easy to follow. For a novice was impressed with its contents and will be very useful on holiday when in Portugal.

It looks as if it is a large book ie large enough to read. It is tiny!
I was hoping to be able to read it well but the letters were not as large as I was expecting. The whole book was small; not ideal for those with bad eye sight.

Very Practical
I love having this book in my hands and quickly accessing what I need. It is a joy to flip through pages rather than scanning some app on my phone. The structure of this book, its diminutive size and yet very legible print for my 60 y/o eyes, makes it handy - literally! The one drawback is that it lacks phrase concerning wheat and associated allergies for those who are celiac. This is easy enough to find online, but still, if the publishers read this, please take note. BTW, having a book for this purpose will save battery life for our phone, which we will need to navigate us throughout the country. See? Physical books are still needed!! :-)

Great little guide
Purchased to replace my original one which had been destroyed by my dog. Compact enough to fit in my handbag when out and about for helping improve my Portuguese. The common phrases for a variety of situations would benefit both tourists and expats moving to the country who want to be able to use phrases when out and about.
