Will this phone work with T-Mobile?

Yes. I just swapped the SIM card from my mom’s old phone and this device instantly picked up some incoming calls before I was even done going through the setup. I didn’t even have to go to the store nor call in to activate it. When you go to the T-Mobile app though, it does pick up the IMEI, but not the make/model (says unknown). The phone works perfectly so far.
