The quest for a decent Corn on the Cob holder began when I decided that no, I would not get the old school tiny little yellow plastic corn ear holders that I grew up with, but would venture into the unknown and buy the new fangled type that look like little bulbs. Mistake. I bought a set of those about 2 years ago, and 1. they break incredibly easily and 2. when they break oftentimes they leave one of the metal pins inside the corn to have to be removed, after 3 out of 8 did this I threw the rest away.Came upon these as they look nice, seemed to be the right size, though you can never trust the sellers photos on just how large of small something is here, and they looked as if the fork section was one solid piece of meta., I figured I'd buy them, and if they fit well in my hand the worst that would happen is someday i might have to crazy glue the base and metal pieces together.Used them for the first time just now and they're excellent. Recommended.Since none of the previous reviews showed a photo of these, for sizing, etc, I offer these.

A little larger then I thought they would be but I really like the good size handles and blades.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these holders. The handles on these are made of woodand they are super easy to hold.The pins themselves are very sturdy. They are strongand sharp enough to pierce the hardest of corn cobs. Exercise care when pushing these into the stalk end of a cob. If you are pushing really hard, you could easily slip and stab yourself with them.Finally, the storage case is a nice touch. The holders stack on edge.Hand-wash only

These would be great if they were prongs instead of tines to hold the corn. They are built like miniature forks which split the corn cobs on the pointy end. First use the holder came right out of the cob because it split it. Only luck prevented me from stabbing myself. I don't remove the pointy end of the cob, so these are not got me.

I bought these as corn holders for my husband who has essential tremor. They are sturdier than any corn holders we had ever bought in the past. However one may hold a corn cob with one hand, it isn't possible to gnaw the corn off unless both ends are securely in hand. These are GREAT, but don't forget to buy TWO per person.

The biggest & best corn skewers I've ever used. Big wood handles with long skewer blades (4" total length) made for an excellent purchase. You get 8 for ten bucks, so this was a great deal to me.

These are too hard to hold and the tongs are sturdy but if you put them in on the small end of the corn sometimes the metal is not in correctly due to hard cob you might bite one of the tongs sticking out and hurt your teeth. ( beware ) The large ends have good grip but not easy if you want to use a Yellow corn tray and spin the corn to get some butter out of the tray. The triangles cheese shape just not good for spinning the corn. These would be great if we ate cheese a lot but not made for spinning corn cobs.
