First off I have to say, for the price this travel mug is the best purchase I've made in a very long time.I was looking for a travel mug for a while, and couldn't figure out which the best one for me was. I wanted something huge because I am tired of having 1 cup of tea and needing to make another (I know right, British problems) and I also wanted something that keeps my tea hot for a long time because I am tired of, due to my other issue, making large cups of tea and having to drink them fast because it gets cold too quickly.This travel mug is perfect. It keeps my tea hot for hours, and when I say hot I mean too hot to drink kind of hot. As I write this review I'm brewing a full travel mug of chai, with the lid off (which takes a long time to go cool due to the insulation being so good). By the time I've finished this review it'll still be far too hot to drink.Now on to specifics.The lid isn't completely spill-proof. If you turn this upside down when it's closed, it's gonna spill. It has a simple slider on the top to open / close it, leaving a decent sized mouthpiece to drink from. The lid can come apart completely when you want to wash it. That includes removing the slider from the lid as well as the seal around the lid (just use the handle of a teaspoon or something to force it off, being careful not to stretch it too much); you can clean literally every nook and cranny on this thing.The mug itself is stainless steel inside and out, with some pretty incredible insulation. Filling it with boiling water will not affect the outside of the mug at all. My kitchen is pretty cold so my travel mug is usually ice cold on the outside even when I've just filled it. Be aware of this with your first use, as I was expecting it to be at least warm. You can't warm your hands with this, put it that way.I use my mug every day, usually for chai. I rinse it out before each use, but I'd advise that you wash it properly after every 3-4 uses otherwise you get a metallic taste from the steel when you drink from it. This is typical of stainless steel though as you'll know if you've ever re-used stainless steel cutlery, so it's just standard stuff really. Just so you know, though, this isn't something you can keep in your car and refill every day for a week without washing it out and still preserve the taste. It does need regular cleaning.Last point: When this mug is full, it's quite heavy. It is very big, fitting (by coffee maker standards) 7-8 cups of coffee, with milk on top of that, and it'll last you all day at a good heat. Obviously the more empty it is, the less it stays hot, but the cup narrows towards the bottom which helps that area stay warmer when there's less in there. I've taken this on the train, into town and walked around shopping with my girlfriend and it was a bit of a pain to carry around due to its size.Just bear that in mind; this cup is around 100ml less than a litre, so it is large.All in all though I can't fault this mug at all. I do love it, I use it every day instead of regular cups / mugs at home because it keeps my drinks warm for so long and I love large cups of tea. If this ever breaks (can't see why it would, it's sturdy) I will definitely be buying another. And I paid what, £13 for it? Bargain!

Update 6/7/18Didn’t think I could praise this cup any more but .... because of the scorching weather , I have been using it for cold drinks .. This is no lie .. I have made an orange and soda drink in it , topped it with ice , left it by my bed to have a cold drink in the night , and it still has ice in it the following morning .. so I tested it .. I’ve left an ice topped drink in the cup for nearly a day , the ice had melted , but the drink was very chilled and cold ! How amazing is that ! Buy one , use it for hot , use it for cold , I’ve even taken hot beans in it for work .. it’s an outstanding cup ..The best I’ve ever ownedWas a little sceptical about spending this amount of money on a coffee holder to be honest , but certainly happy I did .. I make a large latte from my bean to coffee machine . I like 5 shots in mine topped with hot milk .. so I make mine at about 7.30 am and I probably finish drinking it any where between 11am and 12.30pm depending how busy I am at work .. The coffee is as hot at the finish as when I made it .. superb ..The cup is sturdy and strong and it fits , just about , in my Kuga cup holder ,although I have to be careful when using the handbrake on and off ..It sits nicely on a flat surface and doesn’t easily get tipped over ..What I don’t like about the cupIt’s says it’s not dishwasher happy , that I can cope with .. The lid IS NOT liquid proof .. if your carrying it and you bend over or tip it , you will get hot liquid o yourself so be warned .. burnt hand , lesson sorely learnt on that .. just seen that it is possible to take the lid apart for cleaning , but this can be time consuming and also may damage the actual lid if not careful ? Hopefully the designers could come up with a solution for this liquid spillage (. A screw lid system ? ) and an easier way of cleaning the slider part ?I would have given full stars, if it went for the spillage and cleaning issue , as this product does what it says and delivers a red hot drink for several hours ..Update ...I can not fault this companies customer care . I messaged them via Facebook with a problem I had created myself through being heavy handed , they messaged me back within 10 mins offering me a replacement ! To say I was surprised and so delighted is an understatement.10/10 on customer care !

Huge mug which keeps drinks hot for a long time!Only snag is that it is too big for some of my work vans so be mindful of the size. It will bot fit in a Vauxhall Vivaro, Renault Master or similar. Otherwise a great buy!
