Monteverde Fountain Pen Flush - 8 oz Bottle

Good quantity. But don’t buy it for more than ₹1200. Hand made and all in nice but cleaning agent should not be so expensive. Maybe it’s helping you from over using it but I don’t see the value. Should come with other cleaning equipment.

I lost a Lamy 2000. This destroyed the threads and barrel. The flush is caustic, and reacts with plastic. In my case the makralon threads and barrel were eaten away by this. Destroyed a pen that metal couldn't scratch because it's so toxic and caustic. Use at your own risk

I have an ultrasonic bath to clean my pens but even that alone couldn't clean the feeds thoroughly. I've bought 10ml plastic test vials with this, filled one all up and put my feeds in it. Put the hole thing in ultrasonic bath and after 5 min, feeds were all like new. I use the same solution few times so it looks like it's going to last a good while.

I washed out my Sailor Fountain pen with distilled water and washing up liquid, removed most of the black ink but there was some left. So I used this stuff and it's removed the remaining ink.... Now I can use red ink for my pen....

Today I did something, with all the daily chores I have, I never thought I’d do or tell anyone I did. Today, I cleaned 4 fountain pens. A defective Wordsworth &Black inked with W&B cartridge blue, a replacement W&B inked with W&B cartridge Black, a Pilot MR Animal Lizard inked with the standard bladder converter with Diamond Writer’s Blood and a Pilot MR Animal Tiger inked with a Pilot Con-40 converter with Waterman Intense Black. I let a W&B converter sit over a week with Waterman IB and dry totally out. It was gummed up. I drew clean water in each pen and expelled it several times. I then drew in the Monteverde pen flush and gave it a little shake. The Pilot Con-40 converter spit drops of inked ink flush all over my fingers. Having ink on your fingers is kind of like wearing fancy shoes, yep I have ink on my hands from a fountain pen. The first pen to expel clean water after flushing the ink flush out with clean water was the Pilot bladder with the Writer’s Blood in it. Next, the Pilot Com-40 with the Waterman ink. Next was the replacement W&B with the W&B black and last was the W&B with W&B Blue. Now all the pens are drying. The nibs of each pen looked extra shiny like the car does when it comes out of the car wash. No trace of ink in any of the converters with windows even the one with caked on ill treated ink. I had to pour enough flush in the shot glass to be able to draw the fluid into the pens and at the price for the bottle that was about $3 worth of fluid. That’s a bummer. But as far as I can tell, this pen flush works terrific and I can’t wait to dirty up my pens and the new pens I have ok order. Way to go Monteverde.
