Romanzo Criminale: Season 2

Firstly, I should say that there ARE indeed English subtitles on the 10 episodes of the second season, and there are none on the special features.Without revealing any plot issues, the second season is as compelling as the first. Some new characters are introduced, and the story moves through the 1980s. There is of course violence and some nudity; not a show for the prudish or squeamish.I bought this DVD set because there is no sign, as far as I am aware, of Sky Arts showing season two in the near future.Again, without revealing anything, I should like to assure you that there are no unanswered questions; the series is concluded in these 10 episodes.Update: Sky Arts did indeed screen season two in 2012 and will probably show it again.

This series is addictive, so sorry that only two were made. However, considering this was based on a real life criminal gang, things were bound to come to an end.. Started to watch Series 1 very dubiously but soon got into it, followed by Series 2 immediately afterwards. The casting and acting is absolutely superb. Great research was obviously done to make sure that hair styles,clothes and cars all matched the decades perfectly. Still trying to work out some of the plot lines, so will definitely be watching it all through again. Must have been hell working in crime prevention in those times! Makes U.K.crime shows look positively tame!

Excellent Series

If you haven't seen both this and the initial Series...All I can say ...Is DO !!!!10/10 all round and thoroughly enjoyed .

Really enjoyed this series and was disappointed when it finished. If you like all the mafia films/series you will like this!

This series is amazing. It is so authentically set in the period of the 70s and 80s (music, cars, they way it is filmed, styles) it is incredible to believe it was made in the 21st century. The production, characters, story, history are fantastic and one fo the best series I have ever seen - and I am a box set addict.

This is an outstanding series. I would urge anyone who hasn't watched Romanzo Criminale to buy both seasons and it will not be long before you are absorbed. It's unbelievable that such a quality production has gone relatively unnoticed for so long. Buy it, tell your friends.

I bought the complete series, having viewed the original Series 1 on Sky Arts. It remains one of my favourites thanks to a fine cast and changing themes for each episode.
