Efficient Resource - great information, makes me want to go visit!
This book has a list of great campsites and essential information on each, along with GPS coordinates and links to a map page, plus helpful notes on facilities and road conditions (dirt, gravel, rutted, difficult in rainy weather, etc.) to help you evaluate if access could be a problem for you. It also lists some of the key features around - what the area is known for, such as scenic hikes, petroglyphs, fishing, etc. But… it could be even better with a map of each state with the camp sites marked on it (to give you a better idea where you’re looking and for route planning), plus a picture of the key tourist attraction(s) by each site – the “why you would want to go there in the first place?” pic.Another big wish would be a summary table of each site reviewed by state, available facilities plus what it’s known for to help you choose and prioritize your trip.A third wish would be a pic of each site mentioned.

All of the "Secret" spots!
This is a book is really a list of places with a short description. The author has found these hidden gems of places to camp. It's a great resource for people like me who don't mind a little roughing it for a little solitude at reasonable nightly rates!

GPS coordinates and photos
This is a small, concise book that lists many of the best sites in the Southwest … sites that are too remote for big rig travelers (who I want to be as far from as possible).

This is a great resource for those on the road
This is a great resource for those on the road who need a safe, cheap location to stay the night without fear of being kicked out. Having a sense of whether or not there is running water and a bathroom is helpful. Useful also for laying the groundwork for a trip that won't empty your bank account. I've been in situations when I had to worry about getting in trouble if I pulled into an empty lot, so being able to quickly and easily access a free lot nearby is helpful.

Missing too many states
My mistake. I saw the title, 'Free Camping In The West' and immediately clicked the 'buy now' button. The book arrived today and I jumped right in, anxious to ferret out some kewl sites. Whoops. No Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming. The last time I looked at a map, they were part of the western US. As I noted, nobody's fault but mine, but I wouldn't have purchased had I been paying attention. That said, the info that I did review looked good. I'm in SE Washington, so checked out Oregon and Washington and there look to be some good sites.

Awesome Curation of Camping Spots
If you like camping in the U.S., this is a very useful reference to have on hand to find new and exciting places to explore. It has a nice selection organized by state with descriptions and QR codes you can scan for directions and pictures of the locations.
