Jo Malone London Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense Sample Vial .05oz/1.5ml

I bought the trial to test it out. This is like a sexy, grown up, rich version of Old Spice. The cypress of the namesake is deep, realistic and sophisticated, and the most apparent note in the mix. It does not smell like cedar, at all, which another reviewer warned about. Cedar is a much more “pointy” or severe aroma, found in many scents, but not this one. There’s a little bit of aquatic and herbal notes (similar to old spice, maybe nutmeg or clove,) in the middle, but I noticed this, (particularly the aquatic note) “dies off” before the cypress does on the dry down. It’s potent at first spray, but settles nicely and wears off my skin in 6-8 hours, lasts over 24 hours on my clothing/bedding. Tom Hardy is the perfect sophisticated-yet-rugged beefcake spokesperson, I would imagine he smells like this.

This smells amazing. I love it. Its not very strong and the smell of cedar is prominent but not overpowering. Love the value for my money and the size is perfect. Especially if you didn't want to buy the whole bottle.

Acrid, unpleasant smell.

It’s a way to go if you are trying to choose a new scent and avoid wasting a big bottle of cologne. I’m giving 3 ⭐️ because it’s not for me, too strong.
