My boy wouldn't be able to lift it let alone play it. Some of the others are less than a kilo.** A: I just put my Melodica on the kitchen scales and it weighs in at 2lbs..... that's a little under a kilo. It's a great instrument, well constructed and sounds great. I've got some learning to do now. Tried it out and even I got a substantial sound out of it. To my eye it's beautifully made. What fantastic value.
