The products I love in a size that I can travel with

Up front, I do like this tree oil shampoo and conditioner overall. But let me begin with what didn't make me terribly happy: First, I hope the full-size versions come with some kind of flip-open or disperser caps; trying to unscrew and replace these tiny lids while your face is dripping with water in the shower ain't fun. Second, do not - repeat, do NOT - get the shampoo in your eyes. It stings. Third, know that it takes more of this shampoo to work up what to me is a normal lather than my "regular" shampoos. Fourth: Not having to juggle two different bottles around is the primary reason almost all my shampoos are a shampoo/conditioner combo.Now for the good part: This shampoo, followed by a dollop of the conditioner, made my hair soft and shiny and look great. And then there's the inexplicable: I have dark brown hair, which with age has come to be dusted with gray. I swear to you that when I got out of the shower after using these products and looked in the mirror, my hair looked mostly dark brown. Much of that gray, it seems, had disappeared. After I'd dried my hair I asked my husband to confirm what my eyes didn't believe, and he agreed; the gray in my hair was far less noticeable. I have no idea why - maybe the tea tree oil contains tannin, which I think has coloring potential? In any event, that made me like it even more (although just the soft and silky part is enough for me).

This system worked well for my super baby fine thinner hair. I don't use styling products much, so product buildup wasn't so much an issue as is the emollient shampoos I've been using were weighing down my fine hair.MASK: I throughly wet my hair, then applied the hair mask mostly to my scalp and roots, and worked it in with my silicone massager. I put on a shower cap and let it sit for at least 3 minutes. I didn't use much so the packet will last me for a while. I know instructions indicate to do this post-shampoo, but I wanted to shampoo the mask out of my hair so it wasn't too weighed down. After rinsing out the mask, didn't feel stripped of moisture.Shampoo: I applied about a quarter size or so of shampoo and next time I'll use less as it really did lather up. I worked it in with my hands and then gently massaged again with my silicone brush. Rinsed. Not too squeaky clean since that would mean it was too harsh for my hair.Conditioner: Finally, I applied the conditioner from mid-ends down, and let that sit for about 1-2 minutes, and then rinsed. It rinsed away cleanly.The scent is slightly astringent, but not unpleasant.After gently towel-drying, I brushed through and there were no tangles, and no feeling that my hair was over-stripped. I then blew it dry on low heat with my round dryer-brush.After blow drying I was impressed with how full my hair looked. Shiny -- not as shiny was when I use some of my more emollient shampoos, but the fullness of my hair was great. Obviously I had some buildup and needed to clarify with this tea tree shampoo.I would use this about once a week, twice at most.

I was very impressed by this set. I use tea tree shampoo once a week or so to "reset" my hair and remove product buildup and oil. I had never tried an entire tea tree oil system before and this absolutely exceeded my expectations. The shampoo worked just as well as a high-end brand that I've used in the past). The hair mask absorbed deep into my hair and scalp (I used about half the packet on my first application) and left absolutely no build-up...just soft, glossy hair. Finally, I used the conditioner from midway through my hair to the ends and it did a great job of further smoothing. This is the perfect amount of tea tree product to get you through a few months (minus the mask). I liked the mask so much, that I will see if I can find it sold individually so that I can use it once a week with the shampoo and conditioner. This is a great deal and an awesome set. Really. If you have oily hair like me, or are prone to product build up, TRY THIS! It will extend the longevity of your blowouts and just make your hair look better overall.

This set works okay but on two of the three products I really couldn't sense any tea tree. And I have plenty of tea tree personal care products, so I am well familiar with the scent and the signature tingling sensation of tea tree oil.Only the mask more clearly had tea tree. I also liked that there was a generous amount of the mask. It isn't packaged to be used more than once, but realistically I think there are 2 uses worth in the mask packet for long hair, and 3-4 uses for short hair. The mask was my favorite item.The shampoo and conditioner did okay being shampoo and conditioner, in terms of cleaning and moisturizing, but again, I can't even say there was "too little" tea tree—I simple detected no scent or sensation of tea tree at all in them. In addition, the bottles are quite small, and don't even have squeeze caps, which makes the conditioner almost frustrating to get out.To top it off, although none of these products smell UNpleasant, only the mask once again shines, and smells like tea tree. The conditioner just smells like nondescript medicinal something, and the shampoo smells light slightly sweet nondescript medicinal something.I like some other products from this company but overall I don't think I'd recommend this one, even as a gift, unless the person the gift is for REALLY likes this brand, or already likes these products and needs a travel size.

Weighed my hair down after 1 wash. It does smell good but made my hair greasy.

Such a cute set. These products smell so good, and leave my hair feeling nice and clean without over drying it. The conditioner makes my hair feel a bit heavier quicker than normal, but not by much.
