A lot of product for the buck. so far, I have used this tool to crimp 6 gauge wires. My hands are not the biggest or strongest, but the tool clamped down and made solid crimps and looks to be able to do this over and over. So I say buy it!

Works well, I have only used to terminate a handful of wires so far. Works as it should, the Feruls crimp well and if you follow instructions and push wire all the way in before squeezing handle you will have a good insulated connection.

Love this kit. It has made finishing wire ends so much easier and quicker. Much more stable than just trying to shove the twisted wire end into the connector. Tool crimps very well and tightly. A very nice selection and quantity of ferrules. Would highly recommend this kit for electrical or electronics.

The box of connectors I received was mislabeled as to what size wire could be crimped. The label on the box indicates max size ( for the yellow sleeved connectors) to be 6mm squared or 14 AWG. 6mm squared is = to 10 AWG, not 14 AWG. So this confused me and at first. I tried crimping a 10AWG bare wire with a yellow sleeved connector and it went on OK. I am disappointed that the depth of crimp adjustment wheel cannot be rotated by hand , I need to use a pair of needle nose pliers to turn mine. And if you set the depth too low, you may not be able to release the tool from the connector without using an enormous amount of pressure on the tool handles to the point you may need to put the tool into a vice. The photo shows the mislabeled wire size capability while the other photo show in fact a 10 AWG wire with the yellow sleeved crimp on it.
