Excellent, great fun and by far the best way to cook a marshmallow. Tried with pellets and dried hardwood. Both work fine, I prefer the flame and heat from hardwood. Doesn't kick out as much heat as a full size fire pit but it's not bad and it's nice to sit close to with a glass of wine or a beer.

I purchased the Mesa XL after reading lots of positive reviews. Myself and my children enjoy a fire in the garden and also when out and about at the beach etc with their friends, using our current portable fire bowl. It has a carry bag, but is still big and bulky for me to carry along with other things. This one will be just great for us due to its size and how light it is. I was so excited to try it out, but as it was very windy I set it up at shed door with the doors opened. I used 4 small pieces of kindling wood and a Log Barn natural firelighter just to test it out. It was smoky for a very short time before quickly turning to a nice flame with no smoke. I wasn't going to be topping it up as I was only trying it out to see what it was like. The video is after 10 minutes. After 15 minutes there were still some flames but not as much. After 20 mins there were no flames but could still feel a good heat when hands placed above. It didn't actually go out till about 30 mins after it was lit. I was quite surprised considering I only used 4 small pieces of wood. I'm looking forward to using it, especially when kids want toasted marshmallows. Quick light up and they'll have them more or less right away as it's so quick and easy. I will likely order the heat deflector for it at some point.

In still conitions the solo stove emits a really fantastic candle like flame that traps and recirculates smoke. Despite the XL name it is small and is usable on a table top. In a breeze it can be a bit smokey, the same as any fire, but overall its a great solid peice of kit that gives off a fair bit of heat. It's a single piece of steel and as such should last for many years. Its easy to deal with the resulting ash as there is hardly anything left due to the way it works. I love it.

I love the look of the ceramic coating, we chose Ash. The heat is gives off is fab. Very warm and enough for 4 people sat around. Took it camping with us and was ideal.

Have now used this a few time and the family have enjoyed several smores sessions. It is smokeless, although produces a little smoke on start up, but you would expect that. I use pellets and you will use a fair amount. Produces a fair amount of heat, but if there is a slight breeze it will impact who get the heat. Its size is great for a standard outdoor table

The perfect size for putting on a table while enjoying time in the evening with friends or family. Burns brilliantly with wood pellets and the design produces an amazing flame effect that has to be seen as it’s difficult to describe. Definitely worth the money.

Den är liten och lättplacerad, skadar inte underlaget och är rel. okänslig för vind. Brinner fint, ljudlöst, utan rök, samt ger bra med värme (jag eldar med pellets). Lågan sträcker sig som mest kanske 40cm ovanför den övre kanten. Inga problem att få fart på den med tändbriketter. Det kan bli rökutveckling vid påfyllnad medan den brinner - rekommenderar att fylla på efter att den har brunnit ut och tända på nytt. Totalt sett imponerad!

J etais tres sceptique mais apres l avoir testé avec du petit bois j ai trouvé ce braséro excellent. La finition et la qualite est au top. J ai démarré le feu avec du simple papier. Cela a fumé a peine 2 minutes. Une fois l appel d air fait la combustion est a plein régime. La preuve quasi pas de cendre, je n en reviens pas. Le xl chauffe correctement et la flamme est magnifique. Côté prix amazone est un peu cher on le trouve à 99 euros sur le net. Mais la livraison est super rapide. C est du tout bon je recommande

Bin begeistert. Super Flamme, funktioniert mit Holzstücken sowie Pellets, gibt eine schöne Wärme ab, wird am Boden nicht heiß und kann tatsächlich auf dem Tisch stehen. Ich habe für die Terrasse eine kleines Tischfeuer gesucht. Dafür ist der Solo Stove perfekt! Ich hatte zunächst die kleine Variante im Auge, mich dann aber für den XL entschieden, was die richtige Entscheidung war. Die XL Variante ist ideal, wenn man eine kleine gemütliche Feuerstelle sucht ohne gleich die dicke Feuerschale anzumachen. Lässt sich z.B. super auf einen kleinen Beistelltisch stellen, um dann Marshmallows zu rösten oder einfach nur gemütlich ein paar Momente am Feuer zu genießen. Den Nachbarn freut es auch, da es tatsächlich weitestgehend rauchfrei ist. Lediglich am Anfang oder wenn man zu viele Pellets auf einmal nachkippt qualmt es. Ich würde es wieder kaufen.

Mooie sfeer haard die ook nog eens veel warmte afgeeft.. ik heb nu een groene, maar ga binnenkort ook een RVS versie kopen.
