Clarks Women's Wave Skip Oxford

I wear orthotics and getting everything wanted in a shoe is much harder, to say the least. I have at least 5 different brands of walking shoes.. These shoes fit fine with my orthotics. One of the things that puts this shoe above the rest is that when you first take the cushioned insole out to insert orthotics is that when you press both the front and heal area, it is not rock hard like the majority of walking shoes. A good majority of orthotics have very little or most likely no cushioning so this feature is a real plus.There is enough room in the toe area and the leather is soft enough to be comfortableThe only thing I don't like is the round shoe laces which are always hard to keep tied. I will be changing them in a hurry. I don't know why so many shoe companies use them. One other thing is that my foot problem involves the metatarsal or ball of the foot. Looking at the bottom of shoe where the small green dots of rubber are in that area are to further protect that area, I feel.

I gave this shoe 3 stars because I am comparing it to the older models same style. I have worn this model of shoe for at least 5+ years. This recent model is the biggest disappointment of them all. I can tell that they have gone cheap on the materials and quality. I feel that the sole is not as solid and I have a hunch that it's going to break down faster than usual. Also, the leather quality has changed for the worse and the attention to detail is even off - because the swoosh marks on the toe boxes are different thicknesses for each shoe. Also, the toebox rim by the sole is roughly finished. Wow, so I'm sad to see that such a great shoe has gone downhill. I originally wore this style because of it's professional yet sporty look. I liked that my orthodics fit well and that my feet no longer hurt. We'll see how long this latest model lasts. I needed a replacement pair of shoes fast, so I decided to keep this purchase.

These shoes are amazing for long hours of walking. If you work on your feet all day for if you're traveling and know lots of walking will be involved I highly recommend them. Plus they look classier and more European than most hideous walking/running shoes. This is the second pair that I've bought. The first pair lasted me about four years, with almost daily use at work.

One complain with these and the other pair (blue slip-on) of my CLARKS shoes is the sole which is very very slippery. If it is just slightly wet, these shoes become dangerous!Another one was in the beginning these shoes hurt near the seam above the toes and I thought I would't be able to wear them. But after a while it went away and now they are decently comfortable shoes in dry weather.

I really like my Clark wave skip shoes. Fit as expected. Look like a casual shoe or somewhat like a sneaker which is what I wanted in a shoe. I need a thick cushioning on ball of feet. Hope this is enough.

With all the glowing reviews here and a history of wearing Clarks Wave Walking Shoes for the past four years, I didn't even question purchasing these as a replacement for my worn-out pair. Unfortunately, these shoes did not work for me. The "leather" didn't feel soft like my other ones, but rather stiff and more like a synthetic. I might have been able to live with that, but the real problem is that they wouldn't stop squeaking. I thought perhaps they just needed to be broken in, but after wearing them repeatedly for four weeks, the very loud and annoying squeaking sound remained. I finally gave up and returned them.

The only thing I don't like about them, is that the shoe laces are too short, and they don't stayed tied! Otherwise, this is my second pair, I can walk in them all day, right out of the box.

Clark's wave shoes are wonderful. They are the only shoes I can wear due to my severe plantar faschiitis. They take the pain away and are like walking on a cloud. They are also extremely sturdy. I swear that the soles are made out of the stuff they make tires out of! Light rain doesn't seem to affect/compromise them at all. They're not for wear in heavy rain though. I love them!!!!

Great work shoes. I noticed a lot less foot pain compared to the Keens work shoes I was wearing before. Slightly tight across the front of my foot but it stretched out. Next time I will probably pay the extra money to get the wide fit. I have wider feet so I expect these would fit perfectly for someone with average width feet.
