Very good solid, quality piece of kit
Moved over to Hager sockets when I did our extension. Any newly decorated room gets Hager now. Very good quality, good internals. When the sparky put the slight switch on he was most impressed with an earthing aspect of them.My lad commented to me this weekend that the USB socket charged quicker than his plug.I would recommend it.

Whistling usb port
Overall quality of the socket is good, and upto Hager standards, but the USB charging points emit a high pitched whistling when a phone is plugged into charge. Probably not noticeable in a busy room, but not suitable in a bedroom.

Noisy! Will not fit in a 25mm back box/pattress.
Quite noisy when USB supply is in use. I know most switched-mode power supplies emit some noise, but compared to a Genuine Apple USB supply which is virtually silent, this emits a medium pitch hum when in use, or intermittently as and when the phone wants to charge, which I found annoying and distracting. Those who have sensitive hearing intending to use this in a quiet location such as by their bed to charge their phone should probably consider something else.Also this is deeper/bulkier than a standard socket so is a tight fit, especially if the cable entry points are in the middle of the box as the wires will foul the back of the socket. If you have a 25mm back box you’ll need to fit a deeper box or fit a 10mm spacer (which Hager also make part ref: WMUSBS ). So this may not be a simple swap for some installations.Otherwise it’s a socket that matches the other switches/sockets in the same Hager range.
