The Original AB No. 1 Violin Rosin

My child and I have been using this Rosin since 2014 and I am so glad I bought it. It helped my bow grip so much easier than the other Rosin I was using and it showed in the sound.I do note others have said about flaking but from what I can tell that is due to new users hitting it into the bow where the frog is. Rosin is fragile, you should be putting just the tip of you thumb there to prevent any impact when you Rosin your bow. Every impact will result in any Rosin chipping away and flaking, it will do the same if you drop it.After trying so many rosins we feel this is a keeper, we recommend this Rosin wholeheartedly.

I've tried quite a few rosins, compared to the Jade and Nymans (dark rosins) that are supposed to offer similar qualities, the AB is far better and cheaper. It...+Deepens and clarifies the tone without losing the projecting edge.+Provides very good grip (had my G string lag with other rosins).+Noticeabley increased the volume.+Produced the least amount of dust.+Is inexpensive.-Works best in the summer.

A soft rosin tat works well. Been using it for nearly 40 years. Alwas excellent.

Used for violin bow strings

Excellent product as usual.

I was very disappointed with this rosin as it was recommended by my violin tutor as being among the best rosins. I found that it flaked the same as a much cheaper type that I had previously used. I am only a brginner and may be I was using it incorrectly but would recommend using a cheaper type.
