WMF 06.1701.6030 Clever & More egg piercer made from Cromargan® stainless steel Silver 16.2 x 6.5 x 3 cm

I had often thought about buying an egg piercer but had made do with a succession of safety pins. What a waste of time that was !! This neat little item is perfect for placing a small hole in the end of an egg, to reduce the chances of it cracking in boiling water. I have to say that it does not eliminate the cracking altogether but it does work very well. It is also worth mentioning that it should brcleaned regularly, as the dust from the piercings tends to build up around the piercing pin, reducing its efficacy. A nice little product and good looking with it.

Cannot fault the product, and for those that want to clean it, it does comes apart so you can dry it properly. (Another reviewer says it doesn't come apart - maybe theirs was different, but mine certainly does)

Works well. Dont be too heavy handed though or the egg will break. Used in conjunction with my electric egg cooker and I'm pleased. Pricey for what it is though

I was doubtful if it was worth the extra cost over a plastic alternative, but it seems to work well and it looks good. It doesn't apply here, but I would not let young children use it - danger of piercing inquisitive little fingers.

Perfect gift for my dad who always insists on the necessity to puncture eggs prior to boiling. You'll be tempted to test it with your thumb... Trust me it's sharp and it works fine.

The simplest of kitchen products but does an important job very well. Looks good, works well, and results in far superior boiled eggs.

Yes dear hearts I am the kind of chap who has a special safety pin to pierce the bottom of his Eggs so they don't crack on introduction to Hot Water. Have done for 35 years LOL. It's been replaced by this. It's an indulgence, it's too expensive for what it is and it's a bit ridiculous - in short I love it and it works - Get One.

Having bought an egg cooker which came with a spike on the underside of the water measurer which turned out to be completely incapable of piercing the shell of an egg, this item came to my rescue. It's a well though-out spring-loaded design, so you leave it on the worktop and press the egg down onto it, which releases a proper metal spike. The spike is covered when not in use for safety.

Stevig prikkertje, gebruik het dagelijks voor meerdere eieren. Nog niet één keer een ei kapot gekookt, ook niet kapot gedrukt. Gewoon goed! Met een doekje het prikkertje schoonmaken gaat ook prima.

Construction parfaite, bonne qualité matériaux, démontable pour le nettoyage, pique parfaitement les œufs.

Non datelo in mano a qualcuno dicendo “indovina cos’è?”, perché la prima cosa che farà sarà premerlo… e bucarsi il dito. Tratto da una storia vera. A parte questo, il prodotto funziona bene, buca l’uovo in modo preciso e impedisce che si spacchi durante la cottura alla coque. È un po’ caro per quello che è, ma fa esattamente ciò che promette.

Nach knapp 30 Jahren musste ich meinen Eierpikser ersetzen und habe mit für ein WMF Produkt entschieden. Bin damit sehr zufrieden - piekst die Eier wie er soll und gibt absolut nichts auszusetzen.
