I am an overweight motorcyclist and was needing a substantial pair of braces to keep my motorbike leather trousers up onto my waist. I am a 44" waist and widest above the hips due to my belly. My leather trousers don't have belt loops and they expand after a while due to body heat, then to slip down due to their weight. These braces have more than adequate strength in the elastic to support the weight of my trousers and not uncomfortable due to the width of the straps. The only downside of these braces in view is the all metal claw teeth on the clamps which bite into the leather rather severely. If a nylon or plastic slip on guard had been provided they would have been more suitable for my purpose. To overcome this I have covered the teeth with strips of duct tape to protect the surface of the leather as they would soon have damaged the leather surface. ( A tip if biker's are considering buying these braces )

Not that I'm a collector with extensive experience, but these are the best braces I ever had. The clips have a strong grip, the adjustment is super stable and the leather patch on the back, where the straps cross each other, is well designed and very comfortable, i.e. I can lean back on a chair and not feel any pressure in the center of my back. The design and quality of the straps are perfect - the width of the straps is ideal (not too wide, not too narrow), the fabric is stretchy enough to not cut into my shoulders when I sit down, but not too stretchy to constantly feel like they might need adjustment. I am very-very pleased with this product and highly recommend it to anybody (including women).

These are substantial braces and appear to be of reasonable quality - I haven't experienced any of the fraying problems reported by other users. The clips attaching them to the trousers are strong and could possibly damage lighter material though I haven't had any problem using them with fairly lighweight walking trousers. The length adjusters are not so reliable and undo themselves from time to time but it's no great problem to clip them shut again. The only real problem I have with them is that they are perhaps just too substantial. They're made of a thick material which shows through jumpers or sweatshirts I wear over them. Also, the thick material is not particularly comfortable and I'm usually aware that I'm wearing them. However, they do the job (hold my trousers up) but I don't think I'd buy another pair - instead I'd look for something made of a thinner and less obtrusive material.I also think that the picture of these is a bit misleading in that the crossover at the back seems to be much lower than that shown which means that the rear fasteners have to be attached to the trousers much closer together than I had hoped.

This is the 2nd pair I have ordered and was a gift to a 91 year old friend who is currently in Lock-down. I knew how good the product was so had no qualms about ordering another set for my friend.I placed the ordered late on a Friday afternoon and they were delivered before 11.00 on the following Sunday MorningHe was over the moon with the quality and the fantastic speed of Delivery.Prior to this he had jury rigged a set of trailer straps around his neck and nut and Bolted them to his trousers. He must have looked a Picture of EleganceI should also mention what a Great Price and value for money they are

I already have a pair of these and have found them to be well made and comfortable. The only downside I am aware of is that the plain white are difficult are discreet but difficult to keep clean. Also the pale blue are nothing like the shade depicted on the site. In fact when they arrived they looked more grey. I chose not to return these as I had a second pair ordered at the same time that were as depicted. Also they would still prove to be discreet when wearing clothes over them.

Finally forced through a medical problem to stop using belts & I've had to go "braces" - yeh I'm cryin in my wine ! Had experience of the light weight braces which kept flying past my ears but these are great. Heavier duty & exude a certain showy "quality" . The black goes well with my biker black , clips are talon like & haven't yet let go .Straps are nice n wide .I'll probably give in & buy some colours too . Ok - get over it .

I wear braces every workday. I've got about 10 different pairs of these now in different colours. They've got good grips that work well on all the trousers that I have. My xmas secret santa present at work this year was some cheaper braces with christmas designs on them, and if I bend over or sit down too quicky wearing the cheaper ones, the back grip can ping off into the air and come all the way round the top of my head and hit me hard on the forehead. It causes hilarity in the office, but demonstrates how important it is to get good quality ones like this product where the grips work properly.

I have had these for 18 months, worn daily on site 10 hours a day. Clips work well, not had one come undone. I've washed them many times in the machine and they're still going strong. I would highly recommend these. I will be ordering more if this current pair ever let me down, which doesn't look like anytime soon. Update, unfortunately the leather on one of the back clips split where its stitched, ordered a new set. I would still highly recommend.
