Great quality and works
Fitted today and driven. Stays firmly in place. Doesn't interfere with volume or on/off buttons. Got so sick of the suction types eventually failing and falling off. Good price. Recommended. I'll update my review if anything goes pear shaped with it.

AT LAST I HAVE FOUND...
... a holder for my Doogee V20 Pro. I have vertical vent slats in my Ford Transit van and couldn't find anything sensible to go on them - I wasn't happy to have any other kind of holder. This item was so simple to install. It couldn't have been easier. I have done it so that the clamp 'rests' on the middle lumpy part (that one grips to move the vent) to give extra support, although I suspect that is not necessary. To release the side grips, you can press just one of the two release buttons - you don't need to press both at the same time, which can be awkward, depending on the holder's position. Please be aware that the vent (if vertical) - and therefore your phone - will move from left to right with the turning of the vehicle, but this is fine once your vision gets used to seeing this movement. After a short while you will trust the holder completely and it is a small price to pay. I suggest you try to affix the phone at the angle that takes into account the 'natural' position the vent lies in when the vehicle is stationary and the phone's weight is on it, because this is the position it will revert to, all other vehicle movements being equal. Also, please bear in mind that there is a possibility that the vent itself will be all but useless as a cooling/heating system, not so much as a result of the phone's presence blocking the flow of air, but more because the weight of the phone will close the vent off (depending on how yours is made). To repeat myself, I think this is a small price to pay to have such a product. The holder feels well made and it looks reasonably stylish as well. I don't think there is anything more to add but if I have missed something, please ask a question and I will do my best to respond. As is my wont, I shall update this review if the product ceases to function as it should at any stage...FVP.S. I liked it so much that I have purchased another for the horizontal slats in my Peugeot 208 ! I can report that the quality is every bit as good. The clamp is sturdy, well built and secure. Also, the side grips are quite low down on the phone: whilst not reducing the stability at all, this means that the grips shouldn't obstruct any telephone side buttons.

good value for money
feels solid and well made. only downside is that the weight of it on the air vent pulls the vent out & down when phone is in it. not a big enough problem to stop me using it, just a little annoying. really easy to install and adjust position of phone plus my phone doesn't wobble around when i'm driving(even over our pothole ridden roads!)

I didn't expect this quality and clever functionality for this price! Metal exactly where is needed!
I didn't expect this quality and clever functionality for this price! The holder can accommodate my Samsung A53 with a very large cover with no problems. There is a very convenient button to quickly release the phone, and for mounting the phone there is a clever ratchet mechanism inside the externally soft rubberised holder. One can easily put the phone on and off on the holder with one hand. But the real surprise that differentiates this holder from everything else on the market, is the mechanism to attach it to the air grids of your car. It's METAL! And there is a tightening metal knob that allows to grip the unit rubberised slim metal jaws to the parallel or vertical air grids of the car. Once it's thight, this thing is not going anywhere and doesn't break or slowly slip away like the rest of other holders. The holder also rotates using a sturdy metal ball too, and can be easily adjusted.Truly there was some serious thinking in designing and building this thing! Definitely not your average cheap and fragile mass produced item from China. In my opinion an outstanding price/quality ratio! But above everything else, something that for once does the job properly without compromise.

Does the job perfectly
It has a firm hold, angles in all directions that I require. Was a replacement for a phone holder that was fixed with no movement whatsoever.

Car Holder for my iPhone 15
Itself is good, but being attached to the air vent grill, makes it move around, but I have still given it 4 stars.

Well Built; Works Exactly As I had Hoped
I've been using this phone holder for more than a month now. I got this to replace a makeshift one I’d created using the belt clip that came with my phone case. My DIY mount involved using zip ties to attach the belt clip to the car’s AC vents. However, this setup was not ideal for several reasons.Firstly, the security of the mount was questionable as the vents were not really stable, causing the phone to rattle slightly when the car was moving. Secondly, after my phone case that was compatible with the belt clip broke, the other phone case I tried did not fit well on the mount. Lastly, the mount was not universal, meaning if anyone else had to use the car, their phone wouldn’t fit in the mount because the belt clip was specifically designed for my phone case. When it was time to look for a new phone mount, I considered several options, including an adhesive ones, clip-on vent options, and screw-in vent types. In the end, I settled for a screw-in vent phone mount because I felt they would be more stable. This screw-in vent phone mount was incredibly easy to install - it took me longer to remove my old DIY mount than it did to install this new one. It only took about a minute to set up. The mount is also fairly stable and adjustable to any direction that suits my needs. An additional advantage of this mount is that it’s somewhat lifted from the vents. This design means that there won’t be any heating issues in winter - a constant concern with my DIY belt clip mount.I am very pleased with this new phone mount. It is well built, easy to install, stable, adjustable, and doesn’t interfere with the car’s heating system. Plus, there are no worries about adhesion or glue issues that might have come with other types of mounts.

Very sturdy. Tight fit but dexterity is needed to install.
The media could not be loaded. This is a great car cellphone holder. What I love about it is that it has a tightening mechanism using 2 small rubber brackets with a hook at one end. You slide it in between your vent flaps, then you have to hold it in place with your other hand and twist the tightening mechanism for it to stay put.Now the distance between the tightening knob and the vent isn't big. So it's best for slender fingers....but it's doable with bigger fingers like mine.Once on the vent the holder doesn't budge. It only moves due to the fact that the vent flaps can move up or down a bit.To open the 2 cradling brackets it's with a simple push of a button. Actually 1 on each side. This aspect I like the most since you don't need to wrestle with your phone to pry it out of its holder. You push....brackets open and voilà!I tried installing this holder in the last vent flap, with the lower bracket touching the base of the vent but that didn't work since the distance between the lower bracket and the base is too small. Installing it between 2 superior flaps is best since they are flexible a bit.I actually love this holder. Beats the old type of models that would simply fall out.... finding your phone with its holder on the floor....For those having the ring type or pop up type holder at the back, measure beforehand if the distance between the phone and the ring can be inferior to the distance of the phone brackets. If the phone is too thick with the accessory at the back....it won't work well.It works best with phones with no ring holders or pop up button in the back....and it sells for a great price. The quality is surprising. I would definitely recommend this item to others.

Compact and well made/materials
One of the top features of this mount is the quality of the actual clamp. It is die cast metal and the closure screw brings the jaws together symmetrically. That's something I've come to expect from my photography gear and it makes a difference to convenience of clamping to various shapes with fewer problems. The jaws are also of a small width; much narrower than any other mount I've come across. It might take more than expected finger dexterity to get the jaws pushed in between the vents and also to tighten the little screw with black plastic T-handle.Still, there are only so many vents that will be of the right design and in the right location in a vehicle to make this work for seeing the screen of whatever you mount. I tried both a typical smartphone and a 4.3" GPS unit. The vehicle is a 2015 Hyundai Elantra. There are only two vents across the dash that are practical and of those, only one or two slots between vanes that leave space to push in and to clamp down. The attempts to the center by the radio were easiest but the steering wheel and wiper stalk block most of the screen. The one that works is the vent by the driver's door, but only for a screen that is narrow enough to clear blocking by the steering wheel. The GPS was hopeless in both vents. My smartphone was OK when orientated vertically. I then resorted to using the GPS app on the smartphone and that was fine. (no image of that setup.)The clamping effort was good. After closing it down on the phone, give it another firm squeeze like you're shaking someone's hand using a strong grip. The release can be done by pinching both tabs with your fingers.
