Purchased this for my 9 year old daughter so that we wouldn't have to ruin her beautiful hair with hair dye. Gives her some color without altering her beautiful natural color hair. I just use alittle hairspray so the color stays on alittle longer. She loves it. Definitely getting her more of these.

I have been dyeing my hair blue for years. Unfortunately my hair is also a bit thin so my blazing white scalp shows through my part when my hair is down, especially after I haven't washed it for a day or two as is usual for trying to extend the life of vivid hair color.The Blue Monday color is very much a "primary blue" color while my hair is a bit darker and slightly teal so while it isn't a perfect color match, I'm quite happy with the result. Please excuse my messy hair!The applicator isn't awful but it's also not terribly precise. Keep in mind this is basically a big container of loose eye shadow so yeah it's going to "get everywhere" if you're not super careful. I would not use this for putting streaks in your hair, or doing a full root touch-up unless your hair is already very light or you absolutely can't get to the salon before an event.Overall I'm quite pleased and definitely going to keep this in my hair arsenal.

I’ve sported every hair color from flouro yellow to black and anything you can imagine. Ion used to sell these in blue, magenta and purple which I loved, and used up but I think they have been dc’d. I trusted this brand cuz I had once in blonde (Brown pixie that gets bleached to do platinum and rainbow colors). The reason I need this in my life (but rue the cost - ion mad cheap) is that I occasionally “cut too deep” and I if sporting - in this case - royal blue hair, my blinding white scalp shows thru (my hair isn’t balding it just needs at least an inch or 2 and is kinda fine). So when styled w tigi bedhead, I puff this into those areas and then spray with hairspray. Perfection. I know it says dry hair but the gooey and super amazing (HARD not watery version bedhead) attracts the powder like glue and the hairspray keeps it on, no rub off at all on even a white woolen hat, til you wash it off. I’ve had zero problems with fallout staining I assume due to the gluey pomade on which I’m applying. Beats spray - that is disgusting and lasts a week. It has actually made my nostrils colored from fumes (the sprays not this).

I chose this colored hair color powder to brush on my dog's fur when I dressed him up like Frankenstein for Halloween. I didn't want a product that was going to smudge, smear, or run and get on any clothing or furniture, and this option was perfect. It stayed on him long enough, and didn't rub off easily. I needed to go over each area multiple times to get the color to look like the more saturated shade I wanted.

Make sure u use it outside or put towels everywhere.

My 5 year old wanted blue hair color. I love that this can add a lot of vivid color, but then will completely wash out in one wash!

I got this color in peacock blue and I was anticipating it being a bit messy. I made sure to wear an outfit I didn’t mind getting dirty and applied it outside with the help of a friend. It was not a windy day, yet it managed to get everywhere! I have light brown hair and it showed up pretty well on my hair, but it didn’t last long. I tried setting it with hairspray like others have suggested but even that didn’t seem to help. When I say it got everywhere, my friend and I both looked like we could be the newest members of the Blue Man Group. Fortunately, we found that washing with dish soap and warm water can get it off skin. The major problem was sitting down or being inside. Our hair didn’t look blue yet we were still leaving a trail of blue powder wherever we went. I would not recommend sitting down with your head against a couch or sleeping in bed unless you want some new tie dye pillow cases. This stuff gets everywhere...we were literally sneezing blue powder later in the day. I really wanted this to work since the color was beautiful but short lived. I would only purchase this again if I planned on being a Smurf for Halloween.

Not only does this add color to your hair, but if you haven't washed it, I found that it helps to dismiss the oily look of dirty hair. It is a bit messy so I've learned to apply it sparingly and also to have a towel over the counter. It will stain pillows if you sleep with it in your hair. I've used it to enhance and have the purple hair last a little longer. If you're using it as a fun way to transform your look, it is not permanent. But that is a good thing, especially if you find you don't like yourself in "purple hair."
