Caution...do not try to use this tape when the surface is even damp. It won't stick.
Caution...do not try to use this tape when the surface is even damp. It won't stick. It always rains before a hurricane hits and if you wait to use this tape and the surfaces are wet or even damp, it will not stick. Otherwise it works perfect. Yes, it takes paint off sometimes, but the glue comes off with mineral spirits and you can repaint easier than dealing with a flood in your house.

Held back water amazingly!
A definite need if you live in a flood zone! I'm still tryto figure out why FEMA, counties, and cities still tell people about sandbags. They don't work where FlexTape is magnificent! I live in a flood zone in Florida near Tampa Bay. We have 39' of new French doors along the back (waterside) where we added a 1000 s f addition. Taping saved our home during Helene and Milton! For Helene, neighbors thought I was overreacting, but, we never had to leave our house whereas most neighbors are living elsewhere still...7 months later!I told our county and FEMA folks to stop telling people to sandbag! FlexTape will save your home!I won't lie...it's a tough job to tape all doors, etc...up a few feet, but that's what makes adhesion work so well. I'm sure 67 y o with shoulder and numerous hand/elbow issues...but i did it.FlexTape...advertise on TV, internet, etc ..through hurricane season! I've been advertising for you (and another cheaper tape for other areas) to neighbors on the Next Door app. One lady asked that I remind everyone during storm season.

Overpriced but works as expected
Very overpriced tape but what happens if I dont use it? Havent tried this tape in a real flood but I use it to protect my house in SW Florida when we are threatened by hurrican flood inundation. The tape does peel off as advertized. Considering the cost of flooding inside the home, buying the tape to protect the home is worth it.

Tape pulls off paint and is difficult to apply
I spent hours putting this tape on my doors. We didn’t get flooded this time but I do think this product would have helped. The width makes it very difficult to apply. It also took all of the paint off my door.

This is absolutely amazing how it holds. I just bought another roll just incase !
I bought a roll of this before Hurricanes started last year. I can honestly say its probably the only thing I purchased that I'm very happy with. This stuff is incredible ! I had a smell leak in my fishing boat. I could see it was a pin hole and I ripped off a small piece and its still holding since Feb. The secret I found pealing it apart is hold it on glass and use a razor blade to separate it.

Value, and quality of product
Uses product for the hurricane we had. Seal the outside door with no problems. Order rose about 5 inches had a little seepage, but it was controllable in my lanai. After the storm was over went outside peeled it off no residue on my door. We buy again and we always use their heavy rain seasons if needed.

Saved my house from flooding!
I live in an AE flood zone. I have FEMA flood insurance. My home flooded 3x from 2020-2021 during flash floods due to poor city infrastructure and delays in improvements. I have 2 flood gates as do my neighbors and while they do help, they don't completely stop water from entering under front and back doors. I saw a commercial for the Flex line of Flood Protection back in July and purchased a roll of Flex Tape to see if it helped. Today we had flash flood warnings in the DC area and tons of rain in a very short time. Hastily applied this tape to the INTERIOR of my storm doors (some applied wet with the ongoing storm and still stuck just fine) to try and seal the gaps around the bottom portion of the door. Placed the flood gates between the 2 doors then closed the main door and taped along the inside as another barrier. Then waited and watched the water rising outside, frequently checking the doors for water. Nothing. Once the rainwater receded, stripped off the tape, opened the main doors to find the first layer on the interior of both storm doors kept the water out completely. Flood gates weren't even wet. Didn't believe it until I got outside and learned my neighbors only used flood gates and had water enter their homes. Immediately shared the link with everyone I could think of and bought 2 more rolls. Still amazed that it worked!
