Spedal 4K AI-Tracking Webcam, HDR, Dual Noise-Cancelling Mics, USB 3.0 Wide Angle Computer Camera for Laptops, Meetings, Conferences & Live Streaming

This is a well designed web cam with great image quality. It is easy to setup as it is plug and play for newer versions of Windows and Mac. There is software available which allows more granular controls and expanded features, however, the software activation form on the manufacturers website did not work (tried several browsers) so I could not use the software - hopefully they will fix that soon as I am anxious to try out their software. However, the Spedal software utility is not needed to begin using the cam with teleconference or web cam apps such as Zoom, Skype, OBS, etc. The supplied remote control worked great which allows for up to 10x zoom, digital pan and tilt, brightness controls, AI on/off, muting and more. I am happy that the AI can be turned off when not desired or needed. I am glad they included a capable remote with this cam - it's a big plus. The cam has great image quality with excellent dynamic range (thanks to the HDR built in) - other cams seem to be overwhelmed with highlights and bright lights, but this cam seems to handle it much better and the image is more even toned as they eye would see it. The lens is described as "fixed focus" and everything in view seems to be in focus. The lens and cam assembly does not have motors - panning, tilting, or zooming is done digitally - image quality and resolution are maintained during zooming - there is no pixel blocking or aliasing effect; at least it's not noticeable. The cam is very flexible as to mounting options including a tripod mount - I just placed it on top of my PC for now at least. There is no privacy cover over the lens but one can just point the camera away toward the floor or ceiling (or just unplug it). It is best to use a USB 3.x port for best speed for 4K bandwidth quality. I did not test the audio yet but from the looks of it should be great. I will be using this cam almost daily. It's a great value for the price.

Prices, Value, and product is great. You will not regret it. Great for Podcast. It basically captures all surrounding area. Picture is perfect and clear.

This is a very nice webcam and as soon as you plug it in windows installs the drivers and you're ready to use with apps like Skype, Teams, zoom, you tube etc. I then opened Nero video to test its functions, and everything worked, and I was able to pick each resolution it offers and loved the quality of video. Now one limitation is you need to download the company's software and activate it for the remote functions. Their software offers lots of handy adjustments for both pictures taking, conference calls and video chats. On top of the camera, you have a touch AI button that works without installing their software and that enables to tracking function, so the camera follows you if you move back or to the side. There is a slight delay since it wants to make sure you're going to stay in that spot. The button next to that is your zoom button, using that it narrows the focus of the camera and zooms in up to 10x closer and it works extremely well. This is a really good value for the money when you consider you get a remote and the zoom to 10x and the AI feature plus their apps and its features they give you. The microphone is really good and clear with zero feedback experienced during all my test. This is now the webcam we will use in our home or on the road with the laptop. This is a huge 5-star bargain, and you will be very pleased you decided to purchase this item. I hope this quick review helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

But terrible software

Needed to request a long verification code to access full software features. Program freezes with use, and camera heats up.

I am lucky enough to work form home 2 days a week but my old Webcam was giving me problems. This Spedal 4K camera is a big step up from my older webcam. My PC saw it right away and I was able to use it for Zoom calls with no issue. I have downloaded the Spedal software and improved how I look in the meeting, you can zoom in or go wide and the 4K picture quality is outstanding! I am sure there is so much more within the software I could be using but it will take some time to figure it all out. But it worked right out of the box, so I am impressed. The remote is a nice extra with which I can easily set it to no vide, enable AI, zoom in/out and much more. I am looking forward to what else I can do with this camera.

I run some AV for a local non-profit. We've been using a Logitech webcam for the live streaming part. This is even better. Now we can zoom in on the speaker instead of having the camera so close to the speaker. THe noise canceling works very well too. This worked great out of the box. THe remote is nice and works well. Some places we use it in don't have the best lighting and this overcomes that issue. Everyone has been pleased with the quality picture and sound vs what we had before. We haven't tried the tracking very much as the speakers are at a podium and don't move enough to test that out fully.

I have been using a Logitech camera at home for my Zoom meetings, but I haven't loved the quality of the microphone. The picture quality has been okay, but not great. This took my Zoom meetings to the next level. Much much better sound and the quality of the image is sharp. Overall, very happy with this camera. I hope this review was helpful!

Die Webcam kommt samt USB-C Adapterstück, Fernbedienung, USB-Kabel, Reinigungstuch und Anleitung sicher verpackt an. Das Kabel ist gut isoliert und wirkt ziemlich robust. Für die Verwendung wird keine Software benötigt, weshalb die Verwendung im Homeoffice-Bereich damit kein Problem darstellt. Sie wird sofort am PC an einem 3.0 Anschluss erkannt. Damit ist die Einrichtung ziemlich einfach. Über die Fernbedienung lässt sich im oberen Teil zwischen 50/60Hz Flimmerreduzierung wählen, manuell zoomen, das Mikrofon ein- oder ausschalten. Im unteren Teil kann man zwischen drei Zoomstufen wählen, die Kamera ein- oder ausschalten, die Belichtung wählen oder auf Standard stellen sowie die AI an- oder ausschalten. Bei der Flimmerreduzierung tut sich bei mir im Zimmer mit LED Beleuchtung nicht viel. Der Zoom funktioniert ziemlich schnell, was an der Fernbedienung liegen dürfte, welche mit einer Knopfbatterie betrieben wird und wahrscheinlich über RF läuft. Dadurch muss die Fernbedienung bei der Bedienung nicht immer auf die Kamera zeigen. Mit den Pfeiltasten kann man das gezoomte Bild bewegen. Die AI Steuerung läuft komplett automatisch, wodurch Gesichter verfolgt werden, was teilweise nicht ganz funktioniert bzw. der Zoom nicht mitging, obwohl man im linken Teil des sichtbaren Fensters saß. Dies ist in größeren Konferenzräumen ganz nett, aber im Homeoffice bringt dies auch nicht viel. Leider hat man kein Einstellungsmenü über die Fernbedienung, welches auf dem Bild der Kamera angezeigt werden könnte. Dies wäre technisch aber möglich, da alle Bedienungen wie Zoom, Mikro an/aus usw. mit einem Kommentar auf dem Screen beschrieben werden. Zwei Punkte die mir nicht gefallen: - Die Linse lässt sich nicht abdecken. Dadurch muss man auf die Software der Kamera und die Funktionalität der Fernbedienung vertrauen. Zudem wird einem nicht an einer LED o.Ä. gezeigt, ob die Kamera ausgeschaltet ist. Und die Linse ist dauerhaft ungeschützt, sodass das Reinigungstuch wohl zum Einsatz kommen dürfte. - Das Mikrofon. Es ist vom Klang her wirklich super. Möchte man es aber zum Aufnehmen nutzen und man stellt die Videoqualität auf 1080p@60 statt den voreingestellten 4k@30, dann ändert sich das Tonbild und er wird ziemlich kratzig. In Meetings ist das kein Problem, aber man benötigt eine Software wie Teams/Zoom/..., die einen Rauschfilter (sowie Echounterdrückung bei der Ausgabe über Boxen) hat. Wie gesagt, der Klang ist von den Höhen und Tiefen wirklich in Ordnung, aber man hört alles wie lautes Atmen, Maus & Tastatur sowie die Waschmaschine, die drei Räume weiter ihre Arbeit erledigt hat und piept. Daher muss man dabei ebenfalls auf die genutzte Software vertrauen. Dies funktionier aber nicht immer, da die Geräusche nicht alle gefiltert werden, während man redet. Ich habe sie in Teams sowie einem Aufnahmeprogramm ausprobiert. Aktuell kostet sie knapp 130€, was ich für die Bildqualität noch in Ordnung halte, ich aber wegen Klang und der fehlenden Linsenabdeckung einen Stern abziehen muss. I've been testing this webcam for a few weeks for my work meetings and it performs very well and the quality of the picture was immediately noticeable over the last webcam I was using. The look and feel of the camera itself is exceptional and the quality of materials is of a high standard even down to the packaging it comes in. It sits well on top of my monitor and I've also tested it on a couple of other different shaped monitors and the adjustable mount adjusts so it's level and doesn't move. I like the inclusion of the remote control and whilst it's probably a little bit of an overkill for a home office set up it is nice to use, especially the zoom feature so I can sit back in my chair and play with it. The AI-Tracking features are also quite impressive in how it can track you whilst talking and will frame you in the picture. The one thing I did find issues with however was the sound if I got up and walked around my office whilst speaking. Whilst my office isn't that large it did seem to break up slightly but it may mean I need to play with the setup more. This aside I really like this webcam and highly recommend it.
